Good replies!

It took me forever but I finally got DVD's of the old school "Grandizer", "Gaiking", and "Star Avengers" robot anime.

Exactly. Prime example is my 6 year old son prefers to watch my old cartoons like transformers on Netflix than watch the new stuff.

I was a He Man fan too,
until the day that he reached behind himself, and pulled a collapsible grappling hook from his skin tight feathered underwear.

Seriously, that happened. He reached back, and from betwixt his butt cheeks pulled a cylindrical object.
He then pushed a button on the side of the cylinder, and out popped several grapnels.

Even as a 9 year old, I knew this was wrong on so many levels.
The show was already very homo-erotic, and didn't need the hero carrying large metal cylinders, that sprout razor sharp hooks at the push of a button, with their sculpted gluteus.

Because He-Man is the only real man that could pull that off. I mean, Thundarr the Barberian couldn't pull that off no matter what. He wasn't man enough to reach into his butt to pull out a grappling. I can only think of one other that yielded such power, that was Go-Go Gadget.

I think a Thunder Cats movie would be great. But I would do it on the planet Thundera, and be about his father and the Sword of Omens. This would give them a lot of opportunity to create a group of super heros that have been protecting the Thundera planet. Then you have all the different types of cats and citys, etc. Kind of like a Krypton before it blew up. Could be advanced race, super powers, weapons of all types. You have a clean slate, now Hollywood, be creative for once.

I always liked Transformers. The original one from the '80's, including the movie from '86. The only thing good from the MB movies is Bumblebee.
