How do you size up?????????
Odd topic perhaps but this question is just to see how you feel from your eyes of how you size up with the other Camaros in the area where you live. I will start off by saying I feel pretty bad ass lol.... I mean I know my ride isn't the top dog I am sure but as far as looks, sound and attention to detail others take with their cars. I will just tell you in my area 99.9% of the Camaros I see are BONE STOCK. I mean nothing added .. not even tinted windows which IMO is a first on the list for a quick mod that makes the car look better and its around $200 - $250.
I would love to see more that the guy or girl had put some time and thought into giving It some Mod loving. I may see one tomorrow after I write all of this but so far its bone stock city for me. With that said I stand out and turn heads all day every day. I see tons of rustangs on the road and wow what a wide divide in condition. They go from beat all to crap, dented, wrecked, miss matched coloring on the parts, missing parts completely to some actually very tasteful looking rustangs. I just thought it would be interesting to see how you guys feel when you pass another Camaro along the road ways. You the one in awe or are you the one holding your chin high??

Simple window tint, blacked out bezels, black heritage grill, tinted taillights, and black zl1/1le rims on black ss, I literally get compliments everywhere I go. I'm not trying to brag but people constantly come up to me about my car. Today I was at work (I'm a cop, was working a road job) and my camaro was parked on the street, so first all the crew members were checking it out and asking me about it. Then some kid with a 2013 GT parks a few spaces from me (I like mustangs, just not my cup of tea) so he starts eye raping my ride, looking underneath to see the exhaust, all up in the rims, I was just chuckling to myself.
I mostly see V6 Camaros in my area, I always like seeing other bad ass Camaros though, nearly wet my pants when I first saw a ZL1 in the road. |

V6 here so I know I'm far from top dog performance wise although I'm happy with her lol.
But as for looks and making the car something special I think I'm right up there with the top. I've only seen a few other Camaros with a decent/noticeable amount of aesthetic mods....most are just stock. My car gets plenty of attention still even after all this time.

![]() But yes I too like to see other Camaros that the owner has put a lot of effort into such as myself but I rarely ever see them around my parts of the country. I cant even get anyone to race me and I try all the time! I mean you know how politics go... I know basically 90% of the area police - County, city and state so maybe I am being cocking knowing they wont give me a ticket without considering that the other guy doesn't know the area police like I do haha.... Also, it amazes me the compliments that I get even when it was bone stock. I mean literally grannies and all ages male and female brag on my car at gas stations, bank drive through, fast food joints, grocery store... you name it and they compliment me on it. The reason it amazes me is I have owned many cars along the way and some very nice ones at that but not that many compliments at all... so very interesting indeed. I been kicking around the idea of the Heritage Grill but I am just so undecided on it but it looks good on your ride.

NE Tennessee here too. Even though mine is a V6 it gets plenty of attention and lots of thumbs ups around here. Lots of smart asses try to get me to race but I usually just laugh at them and keep on my way. I think it's stupid, even if I had something I knew I could beat them with I wouldn't do it. At least not on the street.

Considering the amount of aesthetic mods people typically perform on them, my unmodded base model actually stands out as unique.

Almost all I see are stock around here i don't have the fastest but for looks I'm COTW so I don't pay much attention to any year stock unless it's a ZL1 or 1LE.

Chin up, 90% of Camaros I see are stock(around my city), so its cool when my car has something others dont..
The only Camaro that has caught my eyes out here is a black ZL1 with blue halos for the fogs and headlights. Oh yeah and 99% of the time the other Camaro is not aqua blue.

The vast majority of Camaros, Mustangs and Challengers in my area are V6s. Rarely do I see 5.0s, SSs and SRT Challengers.

Until I started meeting other people from this forum I felt really good about my ride. People compliment my exhaust sound a lot, I even had a guy with a jag XKR ask me about my exhaust and say he wishes his sounded like mine.
After meeting others at the Ale House show, I realized I have a lot of work to do. South florida has a lot of performance shops, and a ton of modded cars. When checking out other camaro's, first thing I look for is the tail lights... I really don't like the new tail light's at all. It also lets me know where else I need to look in case the badging is removed or faked. Seeing the plastic inserts in the rims is a dead giveaway, I used to have the LS so I know immediately it's a v6. Then if it's 2013 down I look for the mail slot, 2014 up the hood vents. Either way I don't have to even lean over to see if the exhaust is stock, the OEM mufflers stick out like a sore thumb. Most of the time you can tell if they put any work into the car just by listening to it run also. Exhaust seems to be only like #2 or #3 on peoples list of mods (after CAI, and maybe PTB). I can get a pretty good idea if I'm faster then them from just those things. I haven't been wrong yet (it'll happen one day though lol)
