If the Zombies come after you underwater, the 1911 functions flawlessly there also.

I would say AR... but youre in Komifornia and your ARs are controlled more strictly than drugs...

Just come to Arizona, get yourself a real AR, and then just be a closet lawbreaker like most people in the USA

Anyone on here use Gibbz arms upper?

http://shop.gibbzarms.com/G4-CAR-Upp...m1plqscsfapp01

Thinking about building my first AR, and this doesn't seem like a half bad way to go. Side charging handle, and the ability to use any bolt.

Thoughts?

What do you mean any bolt?

Ive always thought of side charging ARs as kind of a gimmick. The charging handle would be sticking you in the ribs while you carry it.

It will be facing away from you, not towards you.

I had one in this design, with the folding handle, worked great with scope mounted.

Not an issue for bolt actions rifles issued to the USMC and US Army for a few generations. or the M1 rifle with a charging handle sticking out the right side for...a couple generations. Or for the M14 with the same style charging handle, same place for...a few generations. If a doughboy in 1918, a GI in 1945 or 1953, or a grunt in 1967...1990...etc, didn't mind it, it's probably not an issue.

And think about a Sten gun. Big old mag sticking out of the left receiver. No problems slung.

Yea, if you're left handed....

We're talking about an AR15. The charging handle would be on the left side of the rifle. If you're a righty and enjoy not being able to efficiently fix malfunctions, yea you could have it on the right side. There was a reason they put the charging handle where they did, when the M16/AR15 was designed.

I guess if you're just doing some target shooting or hunting, the right side charging handle would be ok. you'd be screwed vs Zombies though

Thinking on picking up a xds 45 for a cc gun. Thoughts on it and maybe some holster suggestions. Never owned a Springfield before. Inside the waist holster preferably.

Sorry but no. Side charging uppers for the AR is typically on the right hand side. This allows the upper to conform and use traditional mil spec and commercial spec bolts and bcg's and allows the rifle to be familiar to those are use to shooting bolt guns. Sure you can special order side charging uppers on the left hand side but they are the exception, not the rule when it comes to AR's.

I have shot a few Springfields including an xds. All were really nice. For holsters I really like crossbreed supertucks. I use them for all my 1911s and for my M&P.
