I will give it up to Dodge if the ECU keys are given to tuners to play with. If I can buy a Hellcat on Monday and have a pulley, cam, revised intake, and tune etc done by Friday - the Hellcat will be a winner in my book. Reading on Viper forums over the frustration that even the Gen IV owners are dealing with (locked ECU) - it wont take much to make even the SS Camaro or the SS sedan beat a Hellcat I mean they are building this car for their "5%" group that wants more. I wondered if they bothered to ask that same 5% - how many would modify their stock car to go faster To me this has been SRT/Dodge's fatal flaw. I love my Ram - but i have no intentions on making it faster. |

Hahaha ... because we always talk about the HP . Dodge been making some sweet. cars since the magnum or Chrysler 300 which ever one came out. first! My favorite is the 06 to 210 charger.

I understand Mopar encrypting the ECU. If someone throws a tune on it, a pulley, headers, etc and grenades the motor or trans and returns it all to stock and takes it in..should Dodge be responsible for the repair?
In the past Mopar gave Arrington tuning ability. My guess is a very select few companies will get tuning ability. It isn't any manufacturers responsibility to pay for others mistakes |
