Anniversary Gift New Member

Hey guys and gals. Registered a couple of days ago when I made up my mind to buy a Camaro for my wife for our anniversary. I used to have a 67 SS396 Chevelle (Top 15 in So Cal award winner), which I sold several years ago but my wife and I always talked about getting another muscle car some day. Well our 26 anniversary is Monday (8-11-14)...26 years...so I found this beautiful blue (aqua?) SS at a dealership in central CA...I had to drive 4 hours to get there...they car 2 and the one I first inquired about was a bust...clear peeling back...looked like it was a wrecked car that someone skimped on the clear...boy was I dissappointed...but the second one was a cream puff...2010 with only 21,000 on it...about $5000 more than I wanted to pay but...well the heck with it...it's a beautiful car and I am happy with my choice...I drove it home (loved the drive) and parked it in my friends garage last night...I am taking her to dinner and I am going to make a excuse to stop by their house and surprise her with it...

She's gonna kill me...lol...here is our new reason to go cruise...

I'm a gear head at heart but I have to admit...I know next to nothing about these cars, nor did I buy it for the investment...I bought it because I love her and I fell in love with the car on the way home from the dealer...so they go hand in hand...lol...

So I am looking forward to learning all I can from the forum...I own a forum also so I know how to use the search bar...lol...

Nice choice! You don't see many of the Aqua Blue Metallics as they are a short run color in 2010. She is going to love it! Welcome aboard.

CONGRATS on the ride, and Welcome to our happy little corner of the net, and to Camaro5. There is a BIG fridge on the back porch with anything you can think of in it...help yourself...of course only take what you can LEGALLY have. Make yourself at home on one of the big fluffy couches, kick your shoes off, put your feet up on one of the tables, yes we are allowed to do that, mom's, wive's, husbands, girlfirends and boyfriends here don't care....and take it easy.

oh...btw....every once in a while a food fight breaks out...so you may not want to wear nice clothes here.

Thank you for that bit of info...I was uncertain as I have not seen very many of them...only 2 that I can remember...I only entered "Aqua" in the search bar because it was open...and bang it came up...

BUT I have to admit I was looking for a Syn...found one in Salt Lake and was going to fly there but it was gone the next day...yours is beautiful...
