Can a Mod please explain this to me ???

Well, after looking for quite some time, I cant find any explanation as to way my PM's have been disabled since the beginning of May.

I am guilty (never denied it) of buying and installing a set of the infamous badges posting pictures of me car and that is it.
I do understand EmblemPros concerns and the legal implications of the person/persons that made these other "GM unauthorized" badges. But lets please get one thing straight - I didn't have anything to do with it !!

This whole experience has left a very bitter taste in my mouth. What started out as a really fun and informative site has me disillusioned and ready to call it quits and go elsewhere. I've made some new great friends here and learned a lot of great information. This is my first Camaro after many 35 years of old Mopar muscle cars and I'm looking forward to enjoying it for a long time.

I am asking any of the moderators on here to give me an answer, one way or another as to what is going on. I have sent at least 5 messages to the contact us page and have received nothing back.

Only Tran can take away PM's. That's the email you've been trying to contact. Not sure if/when he'll get back to you but I can say that it's quite possible that if you are spreading info on how/where to get the emblems, then I can almost assure you that's why your PM's were taken away.

This emblem thing....it's like beating a dead horse. GM informed us long ago about even knowingly displaying counterfeit items on the site and how this could cause problems. So...since a handful of guys made such a stink about these emblems...and intentionally and knowingly went well out of their way to cause a ruckus (yes...I have all the FB screen shots with names and all showing many of those involved), we are now FORCED to do everything possible to make the situation go....away...

So whenever we see these emblems (and yes...I quite frankly LOVE them and think they look BAD ASS) we, unfortunately, need to abide by some legal rules and do what we need to do by GM.

Now, I'm sure this had been said many times before. But there it is again. And more to the point, your PM's. I can only assume PM's were taken away for this reason...and for passing along info on how to get them.

Now...this thread if for the OP and his question and the mods/admin only. With that, I'm going to keep this thread to the OP's replies and Mod replies only. His question about his PM's. This is not for anyone else to vent, complain, nothing. OP and mods/admin. Period (since we can't communicate through PM's).

Tag, thanks for your response and more importantly, your honesty.
I fully understand the responsability of C5 in obeying the rules and wishes of GM so I have no problem with your (C5 Mods) decisions of deleting/locking etc of certain forums.
I just think that it's pretty severe punishment for me just for answering a PM that was obviously a mod on here "fishing" for a response.
This happened (the PM) very early during this crazy mess over the infamous badges and I was unaware of all the legal issues you were dealing with and how out of control this issue would become.

I just want to be very clear on this, I had nothing to do with the design, production, sale or distribution of these items. I bought, installed and I am enjoying a set of them.....that's it !!
BTW, I have bought many items from vendors that advertise on this forum (including C5 store) as I feel it is important to support these guys and I think they have really great stuff and prices.

Once again, thanks for you reply and for allowing me the chance to voice my concerns.
