I "get it" that this 'Cat has claws and, @ under-$60K (Base) is great value for straight-line guys 'n gals. Really, I get it. BUt, to fully compete with ZL1s and PP-equipped GT500s, there'll be exra-cost options required for non-straight-line comparisons with existing competitors. It weighs more than a ZL1, without MRC as a Standard Feature. It doesn't have brakes like the Z/28.
By the time you "fully equip it" for ALL motorsports challenges, and challengers (small case), the price will NOT be sub-$60... FACT. |

Why don't we ALL wait for the REAL results before making some (G)as Monkey the reliable (paid) spokesman for what deserves more consideration than he genuinely gives to this Program that FCA desperately needs to succeed? |

It's exciting to see the bar raised. In a trickle down effect, guys like me benefit in a few years as that tech gets applied to smaller engines, etc.

You guys are more than welcome to cover your ears and bury your head in the sand....but the storm is on the horizon .... I looked when the GT500 and ZL1 storm came.....now it's your turn to weather a storm I mean they call this the General Automotive + other cars discussion for a reason...right? That's another FACT by the way ![]() I have nothing against the ZL1 or the GT500...fine cars both....but some of you guys are starting to sound butt hurt..... Take that up with GM...not me....

Gen-6, for Mustang AND Camaro, is not far off, Dave. When's that happen for FCA? What Fiat/Lancia/Alfa version awaits YOU?
No one is trying to force you away. And don't get upset when we don't all swallow when you're trying to fill our mouths with Gas Monkey byproduct. Does that guy ever wash? Hell, they could have got Don Garlits or someone else of known substance to "four-wall" the kitty, and enthusiasts might have actually taken serious note. But Rawlins? The only "reality" he knows of are "dead Presidents" in check form...REALLY. And even on the show, he's just a frontman. He neither owns, nor wrenches on, anything. REALLY. |

...the Hellcat however is no joke....You know....707HP 650TQ is quite a bit....I don't know if I even need anymore.....but if I do, it's a simple pulley swap and tune away ...as soon as the PCM gets unlocked ![]() Besides....I have a C7Z06 coming....that should more than take care of the Gen 6's coming if I need to...... Since you only deal in fact the Gen 6 means nothing until we know more..... But I am not afraid of rumor so the SVT may step it up to be the new king .....but the Camaro seems like they wont be entering the HP wars ....What does that mean for you?

better circle the wagons LOL
that's what some on here sound like. Fact The Challenger R/T SRT and SRT Hellcat just got a whole lot faster, and the RT is now real close in the 1/4 to the ZL1, the SS is going to need some HP next year to keep up to the RT. Pricing for the RT 392 SRT and Hellcat is great still waiting on more track info can the car keep up with the Camaro, Mustang, but as some people have pointed out the gap is not as large to start with as some think. |
