Glad to hear that your shop owner came through for you on this, Jan. Whatever pulled him out of town may have been late in cropping up and unavoidable, with nobody available to fill in.

Ugh. I hope it doesn't take anything like that to get me back to being a little more active.

I don't like using pain meds any better than you do. Had a doctor give me a shot of Novocaine for relieving pain from a disc in my lower back that was bulging a bit. Exactly once, the same number of times I ever went there. The way I figured it, he had his mind all made up in the first ten seconds and didn't want to do much in the way of a real diagnosis. Just go through the motions, take an X-ray, and jab me with a shot so I'd feel better and get off his exam table so he could collect his fee and get on to the next patient. That was 22 years ago.

C5 was down last night, at least for me.

Water feature looks nice Jan. Congrats on the price reduction.

Get well soon Abaucom.

Tile guys finished up on Wednesday. Looks real nice. I suppose nothing else gets done this week. There isn't a whole lot left to, but they'll probably still drag this out over several weeks. The largest remaining job is applying the Pebble Sheen below the tile. We have visitors coming in less than two weeks a day it would be nice if this were completed by then.

That is a very nice water feature! Thanks for sharing. We are still looking for ideas as we are just building ours as we go with not much of a plan.

When I was a kid my parents took me to Vegas about six times. I loved it.
Glad you went in for treatment and got a diagnosis & treatment plan. Hope you heal sooner than expected.

Yeah, I was very pleased with his response. MORE than generous. It appears what happened is that he got caught up in his build & move to his very nice, new shop building & forgot to mark off a long planned family vacation on his work schedule. I get it but it was still a PITA for me so glad he handled it professionally. I will make it worth his while with referrals if all goes well (as I expect it will) with the installs & tune.

C5 was fine for me last night. I stayed up too late though. Thanks, we are still figuring out what we want to do with the pond as we go. Mike is going to get some more stones today. The pool is really looking great! That is going to be so nice for you to enjoy for a very long time & will be worth all the headaches & waiting.

I forgot to take my meds last night & woke up with a headache this morning but it is better now. I have a couple of notes from yesterday that I just could not bring myself to do last night.

It sure would have been a perfect day for the drive down to get my installs done today but is going to be miserably hot & humid for work outside. I'm just chillin' at home today & that is sort of nice. I am very happy thought about the deal I got & planning to get some ZL1 springs to install with the savings.

I am going to skip tomorrow's club cruise to the Jack Daniel's distillery. I will catch crap from club members but they planned it for so darn early, I'd have to get up at like 3:00 AM to make it. I hate early mornings & to get me up that early on a weekend it has to be something I REALLY want to do badly................ like maybe C5 Fest or something that big. I just don't want to do that cruise badly enough to get up that early. So shoot me. I'm old & a night hawk not a morning person. What can I say.

I'm very apt to lose Camaro5 in the morning, say 6AM - 8AM or so (Eastern time). And it's ONLY Camaro5 that I lose except on very rare occasions.

Jan, I'd have to save a round for myself. Time was when 4:00 AM for an all-day autocross was a no-brainer. A long time before that, 2:00 AM to start a 12 hour trip to be with family for the holidays was easy enough.

Those days are over (fortunately, family is now only six hours or so away).

Vacation is finally here. Going to head out to Cleveland in the morning and go to ball games on Sat and Sunday. Then off to Tennessee on Monday. Janice we are pretty open on Wed and we could try and get together with you and Mike for lunch, dinner or just a drink if that fits in your schedule. We are going to a show at the Opry on Tuesday and my wife is trying to get tickets for the Bluebird Cafe for Thursday or Fri I think. We are going to be headed back home next Sat.

I sat on my butt all day long & did a whole lot of nothing but play on the computer. I did go out & help Mile a little bit with the water feature this evening. Here are today's progress pics:

I'll tell him you said that.............exactly! LOL All his posts on C5 were made by me! LOL again. He is always asking me to tell him about what is going on, on C5 or to find stuff out. Occasionally he will surf to research something he wants to know about but does not post.

13000 gallons of water.

Water feature is coming along great!

No work was done on the pool today. We have now reached 8 non-consecutive weeks of idling, or no progress. This project started in April!

We need a new router here at the house, so I bought one tonight. I guess I'll go through the installation process tomorrow. Hope it goes smooth. I have to connect 4 laptops, 2 desktops, 2 printers, 2 TVs, 2 game systems (my son can do that), 1 iPad, and 2 smartphones. Not all are running at the same time, but I guess they could.
