It was a sort of busy day. I had to do a intake on an adult today. The first adult I have done an intake on in probably 20 years. She was nice & it was good for a change of pace. I managed to get all my documentation done & got to leave a little early. All the crazy people were on the roads in my way on the way home. I came home & put on my short-shorts & sat outside by the garage listening to the fountain & some music. By 7:15 it was actually so chilly, I decided to go in. Really! I had goose bumps all over. In broad daylight in July in Tennessee. WEIRD!

Have a nice evening & a happy & safe Independence day! We will be heading to Clarksville to visit with my dad & then to Mike's parent's to hang out around (& in) the pool & eat some good food!

I quit early today. I Have not talked to my new boss in 3 weeks. My big project put on hold and now just working everyone else's problems and none of my projects. Sucks, I may look to move on.

I need to move on too but where to go? Inertia is all that keeps me in place. Just trying not to think about it. Hope things get better for us both Midlife.

Monsoon season started tonight with a dust storm and thunderstorms all around, but not in my neighborhood. Caused lots of damage around the valley, but not here. Good for me so far.

I'd like to move on, but I totally understand the whole inertia thing. One of my coworkers with an equally, if not larger client portfolio than me is leaving our department. I'm sure they will dump yet more on me upon his departure.

The three day weekend will be good for me. No new pool construction, but they did come in to clean up a bit. Looks like I have to spread the landscape stone though. They "don't do that".

Yeah, I am about to get the caseload of a coworker whose position has been eliminated so it will get pretty crazy. Oh, well, one day at a time & counting down to retirement. More importantly, & am counting down the days until I get my installs & tune! T minus 7 days & counting. Wooooooo Hoooooooo!!!!!!!!! Then I am going to be itching to get to the track as soon as I can! Serious Camarotherapy time!!!!!

Happy 4th everyone. Have a safe & fun filled weekend.

WOW.

Visited with my dad. He was doing okay. Had a pretty good appetite but they said he would not get up this morning & didn't eat breakfast until 10:30. I think that is him reverting to his work life hours. He always worked 2nd shift.

Went to the in-laws & stuffed myself with BBQ ribs & chicken wings, German cold slaw, corn on the cob & German potato salad. Then floated/swam around the pool for over an hour before dessert of ice cream, fresh blueberries, strawberries & whipped cream (Mike had apple pie but I can't have any). And of course great German coffee with more of that whipped cream. I am stuffed & tanned, sitting in front of the garage in my zero gravity lounge chair listening to music & the fountain in perfect temperature. Life is good right now.

You have me thinking of retirement. Although I may never be able to retire, I think I'm 17 years away from being eligible.

We had a great time watching all of The Valley fireworks shows from our upper balcony. Took some pics, but they may not be worth a darn.

Good morning crew. We are thinking of taking a drive down to the place where my installs & tune will be done next weekend. it is 50 or 60 miles depending on which way we go. The shorter route would take us into Nashville rush hour traffic & into a bottle-neck situation in a construction zone & potholes on a Friday. So scoping out an alternate route & being sure we know how to find it might be a good idea. It is another cool morning on the way to an unseasonably mild day in the mid 70's. Have a great Saturday crew.

Good Riddance Arthur! SEVEN PLUS INCHES OF RAIN YESTERDAY/LAST NITE. Wow! Not much wind, really just a huge rain event, and thankfully no damage. This morning nothing but Sunshine! Going to the Fair tonite! Fireworks, people watching, demolition derby/motor X, rides/games etc. and the best junk food ever!

Here's a pic from today's cruise. This it at a rest stop on the Natchez Trace pkwy. AND Mike finally let me drive Red Raider. I didn't get to really punch it as there was just not aa good place but I gave a little punch a couple of times. We found the performance shop with no problems. We didn't leave until 11:00 & were back at around 3:00 and we stopped a couple of times so it was not too bad. Now I really can't wait until next Friday!

We had a cruising buddy on the way down for a little while. I was glad Red Raider came out to play today. If we take only one Camaro it is usually mine.

We could use some rain here, but once again it fell around us, not on us.

Nice pics Jan.

Just did yard work today, then slept for two hours. Washing car(s) tomorrow.
