Sounds like busy times Rick & Zandron. Coffee time for me. Another pretty day here today. Just a chance of some scattered showers but tomorrow we are expecting some more widespread rain & possibly a few strong storms. It will be a weird work week. Just 3 days in Nashville then my Springfield day for a shortened work week. Have a good day everyone.

Off work for a half day to drive Claire over to see the surgeon, who happens to be on the other side of the valley. Nice break from work because it is becoming ridiculous.

Hi folks I bought my 2011 2lt rs at the end of March. Got a couple of questions:
1 does this vehicle have stabilitrac? 2 is the limited slip differential come with the V8 models only? Thanks for the help. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-N900A using Tapatalk |

Hope everyone had a good day. Mine was terribly busy. I just finished my notes & now I am sleepy. Nighty night.

Finally got a chance to install it. The stainless is polished like a mirror and the RS emblem is a GM part.

I believe it does. My '12 has it. And I believe V6 Automatics did not get limited slip.

1) Yes, your vehicle has both traction control and stabilitrac. Both systems default to "On" when starting the car but can be disabled manually if a need arises. 2) Limited slip differential was included on all V8 models and all manual transmission V6 models in 2010. Automatic V6 models did NOT have limited slip differentials in 2010. I did not seen anything showing a change to this in 2011 or later MY's. The "theory" folks were guessing at as to why the auto V6 did not have limited slip was that they were expected to be mostly daily driver types and weren't expected to be used as much in a "performance driving" situation that would benefit from it. I think that there are a large number of automatic V6 owners that would STRONGLY disagree with that, and I would absolutely agree with them ... but that is the best guess as to why GM made the decision. |

GnyaTek thank for the quick concise answers. I'm a little disappointed in the limited slip differential but oh well. I'm out for a spin and noticed the oil pressure on the 4 pack guages... After starting it was read almost top of scale (70). It slowly dropped to center in about a mile. Normal? Thanks again for the help.

Spent another day swamped at work. Not complaining, but it's better to be caught up than way behind.

Dang I'm tired. I even had to be on a work-related conference call while I was driving in this morning. Times like this old is BAD! But then when there were busy/stressful times when I was young, that was also exhausting. So far this morning folks are not showing up so maybe today won't be as difficult. I know, I know, I AM glad I have a job.
