More trivia.
The Veyron is officially the Veyron 16.4 for it's 16 cylinder 4 turbo engine. And yes at top speed it will burn through a full tank of gas in 50 miles and 11.8 minutes.

The EB110 got it's name because it was officially unveiled September 15, 1991 on what would have been Ettore Bugattis 110th birthday. The EB110 only has a 12 cylinder 4 turbo motor. Not bad looking for an 18 year old car.

Can't even begin to fathom what it would be like to have $2 millon to spend on what is essentially a large toy. What's that saying about boys and the price of their toys?

Gee, I wonder if the Veyron sold (or not!) at the Barrett-Jackson Las Vegas auction Saturday night was the guy's from post #7. Probably a safe bet, same colors. His house of cards collapsed and he's surrendered most of his assets to the FBI to be auctioned. His multimillion dollar house is also in foreclosure since he hasn't made the $18,000 monthy morgtage payments in a while.

Scan down this list of articles:

And the B-J sale wasn't without it's drama as well:

How many minutes would a Camaro last running 155? Not much longer I suspect. Just not as far.

My guess 20 minutes tops.

Since it's electronically limited, I'd guess hours upon hours.

Now that is hilarious. You know they ran the math on that when deciding how big the fuel tank would be.

Though I must ask...16 cylinders and 4 turbos to get 1000 HP? Seems like we see those numbers on 8 cylinder engines.

Still love the car regardless.

......On an engine that has the driveability of a race horse on cocaine. Its 1000 hp, US emissions certified, gets better than 1 mpg, and runs as smooth as any high end luxury car.

Well I was guessing at WOT at a governed speed of 155 a Camaro might get 4 mpg tops. So 4 mpg with an 18 gallon tank 72 miles. So at 155 governed that would be less than 30 minutes. And I think 4 mpg is optimistic.

Should also mention that those tires (after doing some researching) are made by the same division of Continental that makes...

Tires for corp. jets.

No wonder they cost so much, they cost the same as a new set of nose wheel tires...

FOR A GULFSTREAM!

4MPG is very optimistic in my opinion. I would think 1-2.
