Love the idea of an electric camaro as long as it has balls....if Cadillac can build a electric motor for their two door coupe and have it kick ass,why can't Chevy? My second car is a volt and while it is not 100% electric,it has some get up while in electric mode.plus the money I'll save in fuel costs will allow me to own two camaro's.

Which means in about 2 more (Human) generations, you may not see a Camaro on gasoline anymore.
When I was in school we were taught that the worlds oil supply would vanish by 2040. They don't have a clue. Oil companies just want you to think there is less out there than there really is.

Why so much hate on electric. Instant torque. Top Gear pitted the electric Mercedes SLS AMG vs the gasoline version and the electric spanked it. And the sound...ohhh the sound. Just listen for yourselves:

I'll be worm food looooonng before we ever run out.

Besides, they are working on new ways of getting oil. One way my college was researching was extracting oil from seaweed. Basic concept behind it was that in the gulf coast the oil there is 5,000 year old seaweed. They're working on eliminating the 5,000 year decay process and get the oil now. It is a brilliant idea because they don't need special engines to run it and the seaweed was somewhere around 60% recovery verses the 4% recovery of ethanol. Problem solved, oil forever!

It better at least be a hybrid like the McLaren and have a big gas engine and an electric engine to fill in the gas engines weak points lol
