Though i do agree with you that some people do go a bit too far when on their bikes, i almost made a guy a stain the other day while driving home cause he passed me on a two lane street in my lane. Had i not been paying special attention to him (bro, sis and a few good friends all ride) someone would've been smeared across the road. No helmet and just a wife beater and board shorts.

This is my biggest pet peeve about people who ride bikes.
GET THE GEAR FOR THE MACHINE! A helmet is legally required in Saskatchewan, so you don't see no helmet very often, but man does it piss me off seeing guys wearing t shirts and shorts when they ride a bike.
You already DON'T have seatbelts or airbags, and now if you dump your bike, you are going to basically slide over a hot asphalt cheese grater for a couple hundred feet if something goes wrong. Get a riding jacket and at least wear some jeans. It's your choice I guess, but man, are you ever going to go through a lot of pain and suffering if something bad happens.

I never thought of this much before, but last year in my city, a man riding a bike was struck by a large moving van and dragged under it for 7 or 8 BLOCKS until he could free himself and get out from under it. He escaped with no injuries because he had a riding jacket AND riding pants. It showed video of it on the local news and those plastic plates were almost completely rubbed through. They looked clear in some areas, they were so worn down.
If this guy hadn't been wearing that stuff, it probably would have been his muscles that were worn through, down to his bones.

JMVHO, and end rant.

im not particularly versed in religion but if you break it down to numbers it makes even less sense.......

why is it that 5% of the U.S. population trying to change a few words from a building/dollar when the rest of the country belongs to some sort of organized religion and believes in some sort of variation of god. these people sound to me like they are a bunch of whiney prisses who dont realize there are bigger problems around than this pile of crock.......

what makes even less sense is that they dont realize changing a few words wont change the beliefs of the people who work in the government.....

OK, SOME OF YOU (SO FAR ONLY 2) HAVE KEPT POSTING ABOUT THE FIRST TOPIC AFTER I HAVE ALREADY CHANGED TOPICS. ONCE I CHANGE THE TOPIC WE NO LONGER TALK ABOUT THE PREVIOUS TOPIC. HENCE THE REASON WHY I GAVE AMPLE TIME TO GET SOME SORT OF RESPONSE AND FEEDBACK. I FIGURE 2 TOPICS A WEEK, 3 DAYS FOR EACH TOPIC. IF THE TOPIC IS HIGHLY DEBATEABLE THEN MAYBE A WEEK TO DISCUSS, AT MOST. THE LAST TOPIC WENT LONGER THAN A WEEK BECAUSE OF THE ENORMOUS FEEDBACK AND PERSONAL THOUGHTS. THE REASON WHY I DO NOT WANT TO KEEP TO ONE TOPIC IS BECAUSE IT CAN BECOME HIGHLY DEBATABLE, TO WHERE IT CAN CAUSE PROBLEMS. PLEASE ONLY DISCUSS THE TOPIC AT THE TIME. IF YOU WANT TO TALK ABOUT SOMETHING SPECIFIC, PM ME AND I WILL GET IT UP ASAP. AS OF RIGHT NOW I DO NOT HAVE THE NEXT TOPIC PLANNED, BUT THAT CAN CHANGE AT ANY TIME. PLEASE KEEP IN MIND THAT THIS POST IS JUST TO LET PEOPLE KNOW TO PLEASE KEEP ON TOPIC AT ALL TIMES. THANKS

Haha you assumed they would listen... you probably should've done a new thread called "What grinds my gears #2" Cause people will carrion (pun intended) with the old topics regardless.

And as for the porn site bit... the little white letters on the bottom left hand side of the video... NSFW

Yea, thanks, keep it on the current topic. Trust me, if need be I will have mods keep it on topic. Anyone that refuses to can deal with them.

In God We Trust, those are fine and powerful words. So when we pray are we praying to a Christian God, a Jewish God or a Muslin God?

Our country was founded by Christians and adopted Judeo-Christian values and applied those values to our laws. The founding fathers could have just as easily have adopted the Koran or the Torah for their guidance and would have come the very same conclusion when writing and adopting laws to be those guiding values.

My view is that we are not a Christian nation but rather we are a Religious nation.

If we could see God today we would see a sad and unhappy God, His children have divided themselves, killed in His name and perverted His name to make war.

Thou Shall Not Kill?

Rules
1. Each topic is to only be discussed for 3 days, unless I do not post another topic right away, then you can continue to discuss until I do
2. DO NOT KEEP DISCUSSING ANOTHER TOPIC AFTER I POST A NEW ONE!!
3. If you do keep making posts for a old topic I will have a mod intervene
4. If you can not understand or follow rules do not post here, you are not welcome to
5. Stay on topic

I don't want to come off as a jerk, but when people do not listen, or when we have people that are not literate I have to be this way. I want this thread to be used as a sound off on every day things. Something we can rant about. Get your personal feelings on it. Like I said, learn to read the directions and rules or I WILL HAVE A MOD PUT A STOP TO YOUR OFF TOPIC CRAP. Thanks
