i like this statement... i partied real hard in school and yeah it was fun i guess but i killed way too many brain cells for a bunch of real short term gains, if you can call em gains at all. looking back, i wish i would have not been the party guy... i think a lot of good kids with potential fall for this MTV vision of school and i don't think it really gets you anywhere long term. to me, school was just a chaotic, sometimes fun, big party, or now, dang hard work... either way i think calling the shots and having my own thing would be much better a time

Too funny! Hopefully someday, you'll realize that NOBODY ever calls the shots. Someone (shareholders, lawyers, accountants, banker, customers, etc) is always telling you how it is and how it's going to be.

i suppose you can say that, and even if one becomes king of the world the cosmic forces still call the shots... big enough asteriod we can't destroy, sun getting too hot or cold, yes in the big scheme, who really calls the shots? but realistically speaking, one can call the shots to a good degree in their own world and in their own lives. its not about controlling everything in my opinion, or even being completely free, just acquiring a good degree of it for yourself
