Qban Cigars
Correct.
I misspelled it on purpose. ![]() LOVE THEM and so wish I could get my hands on some. ![]() Hypothetically speaking, of course, if someone wanted to get their hands on some, how would they go about doing it? I know...........go to Canada or Mexico...... If anyone had any "ideas" other than that, SHOOT ME A PM!!!!! ....because, you know.....this is all for research on a school project. or something like that...

They are simple to bring in to the states.
Just take the ring off of them. That is the only evidence that they are "Qban." Ive done it many many times |

I remember once while doing some research on cigars that there were ordering places overseas that shipped the smokes and the labels separate.
I just read an article a couple days ago that stated those smokes from that island were some of the most counterfeited smokes you can get. Take that for what its worth. I buy all mine from domestic suppliers and most come from south America. I have several hundred in my humidor right now. I have smoked several from the island and was not impressed. May have been counterfeits. I try to be patriotic and abide by the rules. Until the trade embargo is lifted it is considered trading with the enemy. Just sayin. Perhaps some day we can trade some smokes.

So I'm supposed to have a couple in my humidor. In my previous life people would just bring me stuff like a cigar they had sitting in their kitchen cabinet for five years. These couple look terrible, not taken care of, I don't plan on smoking them.
But a buddy of mine went to Mexico and got me a couple. "Brought" them across the creek in his, uhem, family jewel case, it gave them extra flavor I guess. Prior to doing that, he had researched a shop that was supposed to be reputable. Apparently it's a big thing for shops to sell fakes to us gringos that don't know any better. That's the only lesson I have is proper research to make sure you aren't getting ripped off. Hell, you're in Texas, hop across the creek one day and grab a few.

I know everyone has different tastes...and thus, so many different types of cigars. Some might not like them. Heck, not everyone has to like the real ones. But the real ones are truly my absolute favorites. I wish there was a website that I could order from....I mean...if it was ok, of course. And I'm as patriotic as they come. But this trade embargo...pft...I just want my CGARS! Quote:

My boss gave me one... it had been sitting in his car for two months all dried out and looked like crap. The wrapper was crumbling, etc. I stuck it in my humidor for 3 weeks to re-hydrate. I was one of the best cigars I have ever smoked. I want more. I never knew what I was missing.

I used to bring in boxes every so often, (can't disclose how with the NSA monitoring us all!) personally I found them to be over-rated and over-priced. I wouldn't recommend getting them in Mexico, as a few have pointed out ALOT of counterfeits there as well as most places tourists go ~ ie: cruise ship stops. Avoid Cohiba at all costs my understanding is it's the most counterfeited Qban of them all!
