1967 Cougar XR7

I know its not a GM guys infact its a ford but im about to score myself a 1967 Cougar XR7 for 7k

Anyone else here have a old school cougar or know of a form for them?

Almost bought one years ago, make sure you check the frame, they had a tendency to rot.

ya my dad had one when he was a kid...same exact car except his wasnt an xr7. My plan is to restore this one to exactly like his was and give it to him as a gift for helping put me through college.

oh and Master...do you know what the problem areas are on the cougars?

Well I grew up on the east coast of Canada and road salt was used in abundance. If memory serves me correctly they didn't have a full frame under them and they tended to rust bad where the body and frame came together. If the one you are looking at hasn't seen much winter weather it may not be a problem. I also helped a friend restore a 67 mustang and it suffered from the same problem. Do you know what engine is in it, 289, 302, 351?
