Here's a real solid gold Lamborghini Aventador that I'm sure this one was modeled after.

You don't spend $500 K on a car and have it wrapped. Lambo themselves painted it, I have no doubt about this.

Sure they can ? I've seen it more then 2 dozen times at local vinyl shops. Lambos are a regular thing when it comes to wraps.
And that gold one is a vinyl wrap.

As for Lamborghini actually painting it chrome ? I believe it. But the likeliness of chrome is just not there.
There's a vinyl shop here in SF that gets cars directly from the Lamborghini dealer just to wrap them for the customer that is buying the car and wants a different look.

I can't believe anyone thinks this is painted on. No one would ruin a brand new $400,000 like that and it definitely didn't come from the factory that way either. Wrapping cars like this is a very common thing I've seen tons of gold, chrome, black chrome exotic cars that have been wrapped. Wrapping in a gold/chrome color is almost double the price of a regular wrap because the material is more expensive and harder to work with.

Its a wrap (take a look at the parking sensors in the front bumper). There was a gold wrapped Aventador at the Lambo dealer a few blocks from me (Prestige Imports in Miami) a few months ago and it looked the same as this one. Not a big fan of the wrap, but I love the car.

And most people in the US haven't special ordered Lambos from Italy, they more than likely go through the US dealers and take what they have.

I don't doubt they make any color but I don't see Americans being in that demographic that gets custom colors done.

Exactly.

Vinyl wrapping is cheap for the most part but chrome wrapping is a whole new ball game. Your talking easily 6-10k to use chrome.

No. All the chrome and matte colors are usually wraps. Never heard of anyone painting them on.

Do you mean custom color like someone who had it match a handbag or speccing it from the factory? If the former then probably. If the latter then I don't think so. The only way you're getting one new right now is ordering it from the factory because of the demand. It's like a year wait list or something crazy.
