I slightly agree with you. I dont think young teens should own a sports car, especially when their mom and dad are paying for it. We're all stupid at 16, so the last thing a brand new driver needs is a car with that much power.

But I will say, at the age of 21 I bought my 2010 2SS, and at 22 I traded that 2010 and bought a brand new 2013 2SS. I bought them both by myself. I fully intend to work up to a ZL1 or Vette as soon as possible.
