Oh really? I almost moved to Lubbock for college. I was almost a Red Raider...
But we took a few band trips to Lubbock in jr high/high school. There's no way I could stand those cold, dry winters now. I hate the cold.

Honestly I don't care if I was military or civilian I don't think I could do it. I have been to Egypt which is somewhat Middle East and that scared the crap out of me. Guards walking around with Machine guns everywhere and snipers on the roof tops

I know people who have gone. They never feared for their lives. It was just tough because of the lifestyle. You learn to really appreciate the little things. Lol

The aurora borealis is also beautiful. But that's in winter. Lol. Loved the fishing there.
