Is there any chance you still have copies of the incoming PMs in the e-mail account attached to your Camaro5 ID?

The interruptions are frustrating, but what's worse is losing posts/PMs/iTrader ratings/etc.

It really sucks to post a long reply, maybe with pictures, etc., and ***poof*** it's gone, apparently forever.

Yeah I lost my hard worked build thread with tons of pictures for a while.

But it seems to have come back. Hopefully it will for everyone else who are still missing things as well!

I know many are frustrated with the down time,, I am sure that it is not an intentional issue and it is the last thing that anyone would want to happen. Best practices on backing up of a server is subjective with cost and risk management will allow. This site is free for you to use so complaining on something that is not at a cost for you and allow you to sell, solve problems and meet people with common interests is something that you should not complain about when they restore to last uncorrupted back up of the entire site.

My 2 cents... take it how you like.. I think the site is doing a great job!

Who said it's intentional?

And yes, this site is free for us to use. However, in between chatting, buying, selling, and friend-making, many members also attempt to contribute valuable content in the form of DIYs, guides, product reviews, and other content that increases site traffic, which allows this site to sell advertising and attracts vendors who pay fees to be official sponsors.

That said, I don't care if someone's a member who contributes nothing and just comes here to shoot the shit. We all have a right to express our frustrations with this site's down time, and I would hope (and believe) that this site's admins welcome such feedback from it's membership.

It's not like we're saying, "This site sucks! WTF is wrong with people that stay here? I'm going to moderncamaro.com!"

I remain respectful of the difficulties in managing a site like this, but yeah, I will complain when I feel it's warranted.

Take that however you want.

Ok guys....we've had this issue a couple times over the last couple days now. While I don't have the full scoop, I can say this isn't a hacker issue. This is some sort of software issue. The last time this happened, the site was rebooted to two days prior. Yes, we lost info.

I TOTALLY AGREE...IT SUCKS!!!!

For what it's worth, I've got my PM's from yesterday and this morning. So, all the info should still be there....should. Last time it was lost. this time appears to be ok.

If I get any more info, i'll fill y'all in.

Lol... I've been over there off & on. Its ok, but doesn't compare to here.

I'm actually a bit surprised the name shows. I thought it wasn't allowed.
