I try amazon whenever possible but FSU has gotten in the habit of having specialized books for certain classes that are either new every semester or that can basically only be bought at their bookstore and the others around town. Kind of sucks because there is no used option and you can either rent or buy. In my opinion renting is stupid Because its only a few dollars more to buy.

Wow I am so mad right now. FSU just changed one of my classes to be an hour later in the day without any notification what so ever. Now that's is an hour less that I can work every week.

A lot of students pay for it with scholarships. The university I'm at is extremely expensive but they were also the ones that offered me the most amount of money to go there. My hometown university is a lot cheaper and I got a full ride there but the quality of education is so much better at the university I'm at that I decided on that one. Before I started, I figured I'd be slightly in debt but it'd be worth it for the better quality but after buying books from amazon, and canceling some other expenses I don't need, I actually come out ahead.

Obviously you're pretty much forced to buy from the bookstore if you have bookstore vouchers or scholarships specifically for books.

Yea, I buy all my books from amazon. They are so much cheaper! Plus if you have a student account with amazon, you get free two day shipping.

I actually rent a lot of the books for classes I know I'm not going to need in the future, like history and stuff like that. Amazon has really good rental prices as well. I just rented out a 200 dollar book for 35 bucks. Great deal in my eyes.
