Yea i just finished my freshman year and am intend to major in IT with a minor in business to pick up management information system classes. Once i do that and land a full time job i would like to go back to school and get my masters in either IT or MIS so that i can have a managing position over a operations team. I'm leaning more towards the System administration side of IT and not the coding/ development side.

Awesome! Hope you land the job! At 19, I would have loved a well paying job.

Same here! I wasn't crazy about language arts and history classes...

Whoa! 1,100 students is nuts!! I think all my undergrad lectures were less than 100 students!
Yea i have not been in a class with less than 100 students while at FSU. Most of my classes for undergrad are in the 200-300 range but in all reality only about 100 are ever in class

Yea and it isn't cheap either. Every semester for 12 credit hours not include books and my expenses to get to school and other supplies its 2600 dollars. Florida Prepaid covers about half of that and then My scholarship will cover about a grand so all in all after everything i still owe about 400 a semester plus my books.

Edit: In my high school my classes weren't even that small. Usually about 30 kids in a class room until my senior year where a law was passed that there couldn't be more than 25 students per teacher. Even then some of my classes had Co Teachers since they were above that 25 mark

I seriously thought my tuition was bad but that is just outrageous. Granted a private school will be a lot more than a public institution but that is just crazy. At 42K a year that is equal to my 4 years with books.

That's nuts. Only my freshman level classes got near 100 (if I remember correctly; feels like that was centuries ago, lol). Most of my classes were 15-30 students (except for chemistry; those were closer to 40 or 50).

Ha at the rates that KJ and LS are talking about i rather have 1100 students in a class than pay 5000 dollars for a class.

Yikes! So glad I didn't go to a private school! I'm fairly certain that is higher than med school tuition... I think my undergrad was around $5k per year!

Not trying to make this sound odd but don't have another way of saying it. But is your school like a prestigious school in your field? which based on what you have said in the past I would guess at being criminology. By no means is FSU a top IT school but its not a bad school either only reason I choose FSU is well really I didn't have a choice. If I wanted my college paid for I had to stay at home

Yea, it's crazy expensive but I got it payed for so I don't mind at all. If I were paying out of pocket, no way I'd be at the school I'm at

That's the only reason I went to my university. It was in my hometown, so I got scholarship offers I couldn't refuse. Otherwise, I would have been a Red Raider at Texas Tech.
