That kind of pales in comparison to the GM piston slap problem.

GM never claimed that a small block was the future, and they didn't mention it in every advertisement that they created. Ford claimed reliability equal to the 5.0. That is clearly false.

It's 100 cases of the isolated loss of power problem. Doesn't count all of the overheating and turbo problems.

Got some citations for those? The only turbo problems I've heard of where some of the F-150s came from the factory with the actuator arms adjusted incorrectly. Ford's concern with people tuning them made them take an overly broad approach to the problem--replace the whole unit instead of just adjusting it and messing up the paint mark they use to tell if it has been changed. Again, very small numbers affected. Compare that to say the 1-2 shift problem on Camaros or the disappearing oil in the LLTs. I know you really want the TTV6s to be failures, but picking such minor stuff to push your agenda is pretty lame.

Yeah...love my LLT V6, but these engines have issues.

I NEVER said that I wanted TTV6s to be failures. I said I don't think it would end up in a Camaro for legitimate reasons. I think it's a great fit in the XTS and CTS and I wish it would end up in the impala. Please stop making up stuff about me to push YOUR agenda

You want proof of turbo failures? Go check out the F150 forums. There are plenty of cases there. The point is thy Ford said it's just as reliable as a NA V8, which it clearly is not. This issue has nothing to do with GMs problems.

I'll let your past posts about TTV6s speak for themselves.

According to Ford, it has been as reliable as they predicted. You have to remember the Ecoboost way out sold the V8s. So you have to weight them accordingly. Have there been failures, sure. Have they been more than expected...NO! Just like the problems with the V8s have been within the range Ford expected. There's a reason they keep pushing Ecoboost technology. It is getting them where they want too be on the competitive landscape.

Yep. My past posts where I said it's useless in a camaro assuming there's a V8 model. Not sure where I said I hate TTV6s, please point that out. I like V6s because they allow me to have my V8. If you want to continue this argument PM me because I'm not going to get an infraction over this petty shit.

I drive a 1.6L. I get the same gas mileage in my Trans Am. Torque steer is ridiculous under normal loads (accelerating to merge in a turn is fun..) and it bucks shifts harder than when I started driving stick.

At least the 1.6 is the one with the least amount of problems..

Doubt that, I've worked for Ford for the past 25 years and I think most of their shit is junk, but not as bad as Chrysler.
