Is there a way to maybe take the service guy for a ride and have him tell you what he thinks before they start tearing into it?

Yeah I should be able to. 3rd gear popping out is definitely synchros on a car with only 40,000 miles. I don't see how they could put it on me but you never know...

Def def, whats going on with your car? I'm doing my aesthetics right now, new bumper I'm customizing myself, the concept tails and a lip. After that it'll be like 90% done lookswise. Then I'm going to get the ported intake manifold ported with the black ice insulator.

Imo I'd hold off on any and all turbo plans until we see what Gretchen's car does. Hes doing it properly. That and the trannies on these cars arent good enough to handle turbo power without modification. I'm holding out until someone makes an adapter plate so the V8 tranny can be dropped in or if I can find a proper shop to build my tranny in the tri state area for a good price.

Hps major issues. Also how would you know about ported throttle body response if you don't have one lol. I have a ptb and I noticed it on way home on why doing 70 to 80 and then when in the city. The vmax one ,which I have, I love and is night and say from stock. Yes there will be up coming numbers to show gains in all these mods that so many wanna just call not needed or do nothing. I'm excited to see them as much as all of you.

I like the ipf. And seen a few others. I would look into everyone before you go into so,etching that big. You get the wrong guy or shop and your screwed. Read all the forums and threads. Not even just this forum. Other car ones like the vettes . A lot have same venders. Can find out a lot more about them. They been around longer lol.

I've dont sooooo much research on Rx and ipf, it's just that nobody has an Hps kit really. Maybe there's a reason hahahahaha. I haven't read one bad thing about ipf. I want a turbo though. Rx has turboed plenty so idkkkk :(

Here's the way I see it. I wanted a turbo kit in the beginning as well. But our cars are pretty much capped at about 450 hp on power since we have fueling issues. Pretty much all the systems out there can make that power. So then it comes down to a simple matter. Reliability. If your car is a daily driver, I imagine this may be a big thing to look at. When I did my research, I really liked the IPF kit in this department but that's up to you to look at. If you're looking at just turbo kits, you have 2 options being an LLT. HPS and RX. HPS is crap so that's out. But then comes the fact that with the RX turbo's, you'll have to ship your car out since as far as I know, they don't have a kit. So that adds cost on top of the turbo kit. Then, to me, I like to at least see how things are going and if your car is halfway across the country, that's not possible. I'd like to also have a way to get in contact with the shop who did the kit and be able to just drive down there with any concerns I may have. And unless I'm completely wrong, not many shops will pay for you to ship your car to you to get something looked at. So sadly, unless you have a shop in your region who is willing to build you a turbo kit, you're kind of left with just supercharger kits. If you don't mind shipping your car out, then RX seems like a good choice to go. But I have yet to see another twin or single build other than can't_c_me's kit. That's the way I see it
