Funny thing is everyone acts like its big surprise. I seen this coming after we won the bowl. They even stated in the press conference that theyre goal is not to repeat but rebuild.

Losing pollard is the first head scratched for me. Not that he isn't replaceable, but he wasn't a big cap hit in the first place. Very interested in seeing what oz has in store...

On NFL.com It had a screen stating that Ed Reed is visiting Texas tomorrow.
If they lose Reed it might hard for the Ravens to go to the super bowl again

We lost our #1 free agent today, Safety Glover Quin, to Detroit. Hopefully we sign Reed to fill the void.

Hard to get back to the SB either way, even if we returned everyone I doubt anyone would have considered us favorites to repeat - don't blame them either.

Losing Reed would hurt from a leadership, clubhouse, and PR standpoint. He still plays a great centerfield and his presence makes QBs think twice and account for him, but he is a liability as a tackler. It will be interesting to see how things play out. I think we can overcome his loss if that's be case, but it would be easier of course if we didn't have to deal with it.

HOUSTON (AP) -- Free agent safety Ed Reed is leaving Houston with no deal in place with the Texans.
The nine-time Pro Bowl safety departed Reliant Stadium on Friday after two days of talks. Reed arrived in Houston on Thursday aboard team owner Bob McNair's private jet and had a full day of meetings. The team announced on its Twitter site Friday morning that Reed was back in its offices at Reliant.
The Texans are trying to sign Reed to make up for an otherwise disappointing week. Receiver Kevin Walter was cut, safety Glover Quin signed with Detroit, and tight end James Casey and linebacker Connor Barwin signed with Philadelphia.
Reed is the Ravens' franchise leader in interceptions with 61 and his 1,541 return yards with those pickoffs is an NFL career record.

Well, Ed signed now. Emotionally, this one is the most painful as Ed has been my favorite Raven since I was in high school. From a personnel standpoint, he's still one of the better safeties, but he's no longer the all-pro he once was, and I think we can weather his departure.

Looking forward at next season, I still can't imagine us not having a winning record...

Cincinnati (H) - W
Cincinnati (A) - L
Cleveland (H) - W
Cleveland (A) - W
Pitt (H) - W
Pitt (A) - W
Patriots (H) - W
Bills (A) - W
Jets (H) - W
Dolphins (A) - L
Packers (H) - L
Bears (A) - W
Vikings (H) - W
Lions (A) - L
Texans (H) - L
Broncos (A) - L

Overall, that comes out to 10-6 the way I see it playing out. Given how week the AFC North is, I wouldn't be surprised if we could win the division with a 9-7 record. If I really wanted to be a homer, I'd put down the Fins and the Lions as wins too...
