New Chevy SS Won Nascar Today

Probably a good running car, just so plain looking. Hopefull they can do something with the styling for 2014 and give it proper name.

You are correct. Today (as in Saturday) was the Nationwide Race...which runs the Camaro (SS).

I saw a Pic of Stewart standing next to the new SS so assumed it as what was going to be driving. Moderator feel free to delete this post.

Do they build those cars from an actual SS? or is it custom fabricated from the ground up, with the body resembling an SS? (sorry I dont know anything about NASCAR)

The latter, back in the day (1950's, 60's and 70's they ran steel bodied cars!

The only thing "Camaro" about those cars is the name. It's cool to see them resemble the production car more than before.
Can't wait for the 500!

No they do not build them from an actual car, They SHOULD, would make it alot more interesting, essentially they all run the same crap, most of those cars are so close in specs you couldnt tell the difference between Chevy and Ford (sarcasm involved but you get my point). It is a custom car with a Camaro grille sticker, I think it would be great if they did the work ground up from a production car. But it may just be me.

There isn't 1 piece on that car found on a stock Camaro.
