Id hold off on the torque converter. Ive yet to see someone post up definitive gains for it on the track. And since its a mod mostly for the track, you'd figure someone would have by now. I know v6 owner posted a gain of .2 and for 600 dollars plus installation, thats a little much

Also does the IPF. Also tune the TCM? That alone is worth the $
Yes, ipf has a tcm tune. And I can tell u that reloading a tune doesn't always make the car run better

Isn't a gain of .2 in the 1/4 roughly like adding 20rwhp? If that is the case 600 + install for 20rwhp is kinda high but then the price for cam install with 30rwhp is insane.

Just my thought process, idk if it is right

i do need to make it out to the track before i do these types of mods...hmmm....

i may wait for the converter anyway, since i figured my tax return would have been here by now, but hasn't

But if you do it and everyone follows you, you can be a trend setter! How awesome is that haha

also, didn't v6owner use stock tires? maybe he was having a little traction issues with the converter?

i definitely want to get it. no question about that. just can't swing the funds in time. i'll have to wait for my tax return and see when the next time i can make the 6 or 7 hour drive.

unless i find a really good shop close to me.

Yes, a drop of .2 is like adding 20 hp. Only thing is you're going to sacrifice a little bit of mpg for it because of the new stall. Also, I don't think .2 is enough to warrant a new converter. Everytime someone installs a new converter it's because it's going to make significant difference and I'd at least want a gain of .4-.5 if I was going to do it.

No, I believe he ran it on drag radials.... Don't know for sure though.

Any decent shop should be able to do a converter install.
