this is twisted

At the end of this week I'm taking delivery of my 2013 1SS with an automatic. I had to travel to Georgia for work, and my rental is a damn 5.0 Rustang. The car has balls, though, and now I'm really excited to get my ride in a few days.

That's all.

At least it didn't make you want to buy one.

Been thru the same. Trailered my freinds ls powered 89 formula to ls fest last year. He assured me i would have a nice rental car to drive around when i got there. The next morning i was greeted by hotel concierge with keys to a 2012 5.0 mustang. Should of seen the looks i got pulling into ls fest.

Sadly, Budget governed this car at 80, which is probably a good thing. All I know is that it really liked getting launched with the traction control off. Loading up the converter to 1200 and swapping pedals hung the back end out real quick.

While it may be not as nice and with a very different feel. You will miss the exhaust note and the extra pep it has in it over your new 5th gen.

If anything once you get your car you will want to mod it quick.

So the rental company gave you a programmed MyKey...the sucks. Did they give you just one key, or both? One of the keys that comes with the car has to be an admin key.

They must have learned their lesson with the Hertz GT350 Mustangs back in the 60's.

people would rent them on Friday, race them on the weekend, take'em back Monday.

At least the MyKey trick wasn't as bad as the Shelby GT-Hertz cars they built around 2006. Those were automatic only, and the traction control button was removed entirely.

I was given a single key. I can turn off the traction control, though. But my speed and stereo volume are both capped.
