I already said I don't know much about Corvettes lol I was just basing my statements off of what they had both said. The answer is now clear.

Read below. Shows that my opinion was correct, the labeling is just going to be different.

I hadn't heard this discussed at all, if this is the case then it's a little different.

Any news as to what the trims will consist of?
Right now we have 1LT/2LT/3LT trims for the base Corvette C6. NOTHING CHANGED. We'll simply have a Corvette Stingray instead of a standard Corvette.

Yes, but I don't have the SRG in front of me right now. And technically I'm not even supposed to have it so...

The base Stingray trims have no performance differences unless you add in the Z51 package.

No, there are going to be Z06s and ZR1s. I'm talking about the base trims.

No I didn't. Again, the base Corvette C7 is the Stingray. It will have 3 trim levels. NOWHERE did I say there wouldn't be high performance models.

So there will be various options such as:

Stingray 1LT
Stingray 2LT
Stingray 3LT
Stingray ZR1
Stingray ZO6/7

and so on
Stingray comes in 1LT through 3LT. I don't know if Z06/ZR1 models will receive the Stingray name as well.

There's a little better clarification

Most likely they will do delayed releases with the extra high performance options like they did the Camaro to spark fresh interest
