At the end of the day, the Vette has the right ingredients... a truly glorified go-kart, and thus the numbers always yield faster than other cars.

I read that only to find out the comparison was influenced by other comparisons. While I agree the Vette is probably the better competitor, why would a real driver not get the feel for a car then test it for his own capabilities. He says he took turns at bla bla bla because he can remember reading about bla bla bla and that he did not feel confident after that? If you are going to do a comparison son get some balls and learn the cars and quit reading. The Viper probably will never get the enhancements unless SRT changes its direction, that the vette has. It was a science project that got out of the lab pure and simple. To compare it with a Lamborghini is funny because it basically is where it got its DNA so he must of read that somewhere.

2 things i noticed, one I am pretty sure no one has actually had the balls to post the Viper to it's limit yet, and second, even though both cars wear R compound tires, pictures of the ones on the Viper show actually tread all the way across, while the ZR1 is running tires with tread only partially across the width of the tire which makes it even closer to a racing slick. Just some observations.

Viper... Sorry, I love corvettes and all. But there is just something ridiculous about the Viper. I guess I'm just one of the guys who prefer snakes to fish.

What ever could you mean?

Like, for instance...

"That's the same reason my girlfriend isn't a lesbian."

Hmm.. what's interesting is that the 2013 GT500 can do 0-60 in 3.5s and the 1/4 mile in 11.6s (Motortrend) vs 3.4/11.4 for both these monsters. I don't know how that's possible given the much wider and stickier tires of the ZR1 and the Viper, and the considerable weight disadvantage of the GT500??

Drivers, i would 11.6 is pretty close to the limit for a stock tired GT500, but the ZR1 has already seen 10s and I have no doubt the Viper will too.
