Simple math:
Smoke=DIE early
No smoke=LIVE long

Besides, you'll be amazed at how good food tastes when your tongue works again, and you won't have that "I just drank water from an ashtray" taste in your mouth every morning.

Try the same thing with this pair's predecessors of 1970 or so and you'll find yourself in a bit of a wrestling match. Ain't progress wonderful? Maybe yes, and maybe sometimes it's fun to wrestle."

Same Deal Made at This House

Worked for me. 2 pack a day smoker, quit the day I put $ down COLD TURKEY baby. No issues. See the end game. I'm not coughing anymore either and I'll live to enjoy the Maro.

You can do it...you just throw them away.

So before I read this thread, what I have done is went outside and smoked one last cigarette. I even took a picture of it per Scotts request. I am on here alot so your continued support will be asked, by me, of you. I had a pack with 10 smokes in it. As I was on the phone with Scott, I ripped up 9 of the cigs and kept the one in the pic. So here goes. My quit smoking campaign. I am one irritated dude when I want a smoke. I smoked for 8 yrs from 17 to 25, and quit cold turkey on my 25th b-day and then foolishly started back 9 yrs later when I was 34 and have been going for 4 yrs and I am now 38. I'll be 39 next month on the 10th. It's sooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo oooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo much harder to quit the second time. I owe it to my lovely wife Bonnie and my two kids James 15, and Rebecca 12 to stop. So guys, you got my attention and I will DO my best. I have allways told my kids "Never, TRY to do anything, but DO it", time to practice what I preach.

the simple math part is not completely true. I know plenty of non-smokers who died early. a better example would be

Smoke = live unhealthy
no smoke = live healthy

tho I completely agree with you on the taste part.

PQ, I smoked for 30 years and gave it up with the help of Chantix. The stuff is worth its weight in gold I tell ya. Good luck and for now its called support, but soon it may be bitc*ing. I've never regretted quitting, I regret every smoke I've ever had now.

You can do it!
I did! I quit smoking 2 and 1/2 years ago.
It was a struggle, but oh so worth it!

Nicotine is a powerful drug

And it affects your BRAIN.

Let me say that again... it affects your BRAIN.

It affects how you feel... how you perceive things... how you THINK.

Nicotine affects the very organ you need to use in order TO QUIT.

That is why it can be so hard to quit.

Because nicotine causes you to perceive things inaccurately and therefore act irrationally.

It causes you to want to smoke against your better judgment.

It tries to circumvent your efforts not to smoke.

It causes you to find justifications to smoke and actually believe them.

BUT when you quit... as the need for nicotine diminishes, and releases your brain from its grip, you will start to perceive things differently... you will gain greater clarity about smoking... you will start to see it for what it really is... and understand what it is really doing... and how unnecessary it actually is to living comfortably and happily.

But in order to gain that clarity you have to NOT smoke even if your brain is telling you that is all you want. You may have to gnash your teeth a bit, you may have to blindly trust the advice of others who have quit. But you absolutely cannot smoke... not a puff.... because nicotine is a very powerful drug that affects your brain. The very same brain you need to quit.
