In the December issue of National Geographic they take a look at the biggest trees on our planet. Nicknamed “The President“, this one sits in Sequoia National Park and comes in as the second largest tree ever recorded. That stats are staggering, 27 feet in diameter, 247 feet tall, 2 billion leaves and over 3200 years old! The tree is SO large that it took a mosaic of 126 images just to capture it in its entirety. Check out this quick video that shows how photographer Michael “Nick” Nichols took this photo and stare in awe at its immense, captivating beauty.
