So much AR talk though...I like them but they have little soul. I'm a small time collector. I got this for short dough because the front sight was modified years ago, with a target front sight. The rest is all 1918 Colt, and United States Property stamped. It went to Springfield Armory for inventory in 1918, and that's all I know about it's military past

Would you believe I got the WWI cleaning rod and a spare barrel, 1918 production, with no pitting, plus other stuff, for 100 bucks not long ago?

I'll give you $200

Was it refinished? Sure is clean... too clean

Love my 45's

It's amazing after over 100 years, they're still competing and winning

Not a record breaking performance, and I won't move the sights over, but not a shabby group for a pistol that's 94 years old (I put on new grips to shoot it, the original ones are too slick)

Slide was refinished when the top was machined to accept the target sight, the receiver is original finish with some touch-up. it cleans up well but I have some photos that show the old girl's age

Naw, 33 feet though, off hand with hardball. In the hands of a marksman though I do believe it would group nearly as well at 25 yards. I'm merely an OK shot

That's tight! I can't do that off-hand

Thanks. I'd like to shoot more but it's pricey!

My other Colt .45, 1978. Other side of the slide has some pitting, which is a shame. I need to have the slide refinished. But on this side it looks like a new pistol

My 11 year old daughter is a Distinguished Expert in Light Rifle Marksmanship. To get this she had to progress thru Pro Marksman, Marksman, Marksman 1st Class, Sharpshooter, and Expert. She achieved this in only 7 shooting sessions, having only shot with me 3 or 3 times previously. She used a Savage bolt action single shot. Here is her one practice target before her session. She used peep sights only at a distance of 50'. The black ring was only 2.5" wide with the white bulls eye being about 1/4". These were 4 shots. Here is her target, her shooting my Glock 26 and last Christmas morning with her Ruger 10/22 Semi Auto.

Thanks guys. It was hard to find. I tried Mass, RI, Phoenix, Scottsdale, Houston, Atlanta and West Palm Beach before a local gun shop was able to score me one.
