People are ****ed up in the head.
But I can't wait until the liberals turn this into a nation wide anti-gun ban deal.

I don't know of any elementary school that has armed guards...My children's school has a "security officer" but I think that would have made little difference in this situation. Not sure what the answer is to these horrible events....sick to my stomach over this. And what really scares me is more copy cats. I'll be giving the biggest bear hug to my little ones when I get home tonight. Prayers for all the families affected by this tragedy....

It has taken everything I have not to shed a tear here at work.. I just don't understand it. The familys in that community/state this time of year my heart goes out to everyone..

The thought of the parents that have gifts under the tree for them that they will never open just crushes my heart..

Prayers sent now and the rest of the year..

EXACTLY!!!!!

Instead of some just taking themselves out, the promise of "being famous" only serves to encourage some sick, twisted losers (who would likely never accomplish anything in their pathetic lives) to kill as many people as they canbefore they die because they know that the media will cover it for days on end, constantly saying their name AND showing their picture on national TV.

The sick, demented b_stards that do the killing get more media attention than the innocent victims. Absolutely disgusting.

Just heartbroken.... I am a public safety official as well and we train for this exact situation every year and I absolutely dread the day of ever having to face anything like this. I have a son in 2nd grade and I always wonder what I would do if something ever happened at his school. Prayer go out to those involved and that community.

I love video games...... but honestly being a gamer I think that it is these video games that is doing this. Im guilty of being desensitized by them. If i spend a long time playing i go into a weird mental state where it feels like everything is a game. I blame the video games. I say a federal law limiting the amount of play a day per video game console to 2 hours max.

The part that hurts me the most is that the victims were CHILDREN. They had so much left to live for. They woke up this morning, just like the rest of us, and now they're gone.

I know this is an understatement, but I hope this guy burns for thousands of years, to say the least.

My prayers are sent out to the families of the victims. I hope everyone is extremely thankful this Christmas.. because it could be so much worse.

Sorry but I gotta (respectfully) disagree with you on this one. I've been playing shooters since Goldeneye and I don't think I've ever had myself go into a desensitized state. Granted, some people are affected differently by games than others, but does that mean we can limit everyone's play time? And do we start limiting internet access too? Since videos on YouTube could have the same effect. That's a really rough road, and one that I don't want to go down.

At the end of the day, this is a tragic event and I think the people of this country need to take a few days to relax and mourn the losses from today's event. The children and families of those lost come first. We should be respecting them instead of arguing over gun control, video games, etc. RIP to those lost...and thoughts and prayers with the families
