As a LEO, we train for these types of situations, but incidents like this occur in minutes, long before the police even have a chance to arrive on scene and confront the gunman. I think that all law abiding citizens need to be armed and trained in the use of firearms they carry. The police are minutes away when seconds count. This is a terrible tragedy.

I don't think parenting had anything to do with it. Some people are born twisted. A kindergarten classroom...

You nailed it on the head sir.

I'm speechless at today's event. Too sick to even comprehend. Dude has "mommy and daddy" issues and then kills his parents AND a classroom full of innocent angels. Then the coward kills himself. Piece of sh*t.

This is a very sad day in our nation. The right to bear arms but not to in a school or public government building. But if we could carry them, then we could defend ourselves. What is this world coming to?

He killed his dad then went to the school where his mom is a teacher. Reportedly killed her too along with the others...

Its a sad state of affairs. I own guns but keep them locked up in a safe. There are a lot of irresposible people out there that should not own guns.

Copy cats...egged on by the publicity given to others for doing it. If ANYONE on the campus had a gun...a lot less dead. Not even a security guard there. Here in Phoenix, most campuses have a cop assigned to the school, armed.

Another scenario: if you really think about it...the world is coming to an end in less than a week. People are taking it upon themselves to attempt to be a martyr for everyone in their way of thinking.

Does these actions excuse their behavior? I find it reprehensible! Only they will be the ones who will be Judged on Judgment Day.

Also, if you look at history...Man has always found ways to make weapons/tools/assault machines. If Obama took away our guns, who is to say that Man will find a new tool of mass killings?? Before it was Stoning, then Knives, then Hanging...you get the picture.

Peace be with the families, all who are affected.
Guns are easy to make. All you need is a small tool shop...I suppose we need to outlaw drills, lathes and files next. Actually, a Senator from Kalifornia, proposed outlawing knives.
