The most maligned pistol of modern times!

I have one as well. I bought it used. Not only has it been accurate but I shoot bulk RGB from it, and I get maybe 2 or three failures to fire per 525 box. Mine is apparently one of the best P22s ever made. If I shoot minimag, I have no issues, very reliable.

I didn't have any troubles with it until about 13-14K rounds, and then the springs wore out! Fun pistol, too bad they sold so many that gave folks trouble

It's no Smith&Wesson model 41 and my MKIII is much more accurate but I like the P22. I feel it taught me a lot about how to correct bad shooting habits

have you seen the P22 Bible?

It's the same with Taurus's.
i will agree with you on Taurus. i have never been particularly impressed with their quality or designs.

On a completely different note i need an optic for the ar. I want something for quicker acquisition and not necessarily have a magnification. and since i have the standard front sight it will have to co-witness.

since i am co-witnessing and still can use the irons if the optic fails i don't want something that will break the bank.

ok guys what do you got?

I run an eotech now, it is absolutely bulletproof, and holds a zero well.

But I hate the reticle as a co=witness. I am changing barrels to a flat top, and going with a lucid this time. Their new gen 3 which comes out any day now.

have you used the vortex strike fire? they can be had for $150 -$200

i am also looking at primary arms when they have more in stock. They are a low end optic but seem to have a great reputation for build and reliability.

http://www.brownells.com/optics-moun...prod27371.aspx

I like it. Seems to be pretty good. I have had it for about 6 months and no problems. Seems to keep zero so far. Works great with iron sights. And if you buy it through Brownells they will Guarantee Your Satisfaction 100%-Forever! Kinda hard to beat.

pic of it on my AR on pg 98 post 2426

I like it....not bad for a red/green dot optic. The only bad thing about it is the cheap lens covers....other than that great optic for the price.

I was looking at all the optics and just couldn't justify buying an optic that was as much or more than my AR.

i like it, i really like that it has the iron sites on top if the battery fails.

and i like the acog style but will it co-witness? if you open your iron sites do the three (front back and dot) line up? since i have the standard front AR site i am worried that this guy is too low.

i am looking at something like this:

MMMM I will look tonight when I get home. I know it does with my flip up iron sights but not sure about the stock sight. I sighted in my flip up sights and then used them to sight in the red/green dot sight. I have mine set up for about 100 yards. I will check it out for you.

Ahhhhh red dots and ACOGs my favorite. I only own AimPoint red dots and Trijicon ACOGs mounted with LaRue tactical QD mounts. I dunno, just never trusted the lesser/cheaper brands even though I will never use these milspec optics to their full capability/durability.

I really wanted a Trijicon ACOG I just couldn't justify the price since I wouldn't be using it that much and I could literally buy another AR or two for the price of one Trijicon.

We should have a cruise and shoot day bro!!!!!!!

I do agree about the Trijicon ACOGs, if I didn't get such a smoking deal I wouldn't have one since I don't really have the need for it anyways. I got it brand new for a little less than wholesale price. Having felt the quality first hand though if I ever buy another one it has to be a Trijicon.

Yea we definitely should! We should put one together.

On a side note, I finally got my 500 I've been wanting : D things a beast.

Haha thanks man. That's my favorite 1911. Just threw it in the picture to compare the size of the 500 cuz a lot of people haven't seen one before.

Just need to figure out where to shoot at. All the outdoor places I know about you have to drive down washboard run down dirt roads and I won't be taking the Camaro down any lol.

That sucks man. The midnight cruise was awesome and a bigger success than I thought. Wide open curvy mountain roads, perfectly clear night. Nothing like taking 15 mph hairpin turns down the side of a mountain at 50+. Everybody enjoyed it so we're gonna have another one soon. I'm surprised that many showed up to cruise at midnight lol.
