Hello c5! My name is Trip, I live in Denver, CO.

I'm currently shopping around for a used Camaro. I'm going to get a 2SS/RS with a Manual transmission. Not sure on the color but right now I think I found one I want that's a 2011 that's CGM.

I used to own a 1998 Red Camaro v6 with the RS package and I absolutely LOVED that car! I wish I had some pictures to show but it was before digital cameras were so widespread so I don't have any. I did all sorts of mods to it (hardest was installing pacesetter headers) and did all installations myself short of welding exhaust.

Then I bought a 2003 avalanche for kind of the opposite effect. Got a little tired of "driving" the camaro in heavy snow. But now the avalanche is paid off so I'm just going to be adding a camaro and keeping both!

I'm super excited, here's the car I'm looking at getting, haven't had a chance to test drive it yet as it's about 45 minutes from my house.

If somebody has a carfax membership and wants to check the vin for me, that'd be awesome and save me some $! I have looked around this forums for known issues to watch for and it looks like main complaint about the new camaros is the paint chipping so i'm going to look out for that and get a clear bra after I've bought my car!

Trip, Welcome to our happy little corner of the net, and to Camaro5. There is a BIG fridge on the back porch with anything you can think of in it...help yourself...of course only take what you can LEGALLY have. Make yourself at home on one of the big fluffy couches, kick your shoes off, put your feet up on one of the tables, yes we are allowed to do that, mom's, dad's, wive's, husband's, girlfriend's and boyfriend's here don't care....and take it easy.

oh...btw....every once in a while a food fight breaks out...so you may not want to wear nice clothes here.

Just have the dealership run it for you. They will do it if they want a sale..

Yeah, maybe I'll do that or not bother. I really just hate the idea of paying for it because it's just another one of those things where they try to scare you into buying which pisses me off.

I saw and their website that you can run unlimited reports for 30 days so I thought someone might have that but then upon further inspection, you still only get 5 VIN# lookups, the unlimited only applies to license plate lookups. So I guess that would just be good for buying from private sellers. Anyone has an extra VIN# lookup, that'd be great but I won't count on it.
