DEFINITELY worth it!!! I have been playing a Necomancer mostly, he is currently level 24. I also started a Theif as an alt, he is around 8 i think...

The Necro is incredibly fun, i love all the AOEs with staves. The theif is also crazy fun, but the theif is very weak defensively... you really need to be tactical about when to use dodge skills to be able to survive.

All in all... I like how much more challenging combat is in this MMO when compared to all the other MMOs out there. I also really like how everything else is set up like gathering, events, etc. I'd probably give it a 9/10 definitely a great game

I love this game, it has taken up all my free time and I haven't touched my Xbox in a few weeks!

However, there have been a LOT of phishing attempts lately. I got an e-mail this morning saying someone from Budapest, Hungary tried to log into my account. Reading their forums, there have been many attempts from China, Japan, etc.. A password change and activation of their e-mail verification system is probably a good idea for anyone who hasn't done so.

Here's a good comic on how to make a strong password.

I've been playing a little bit, but have been having trouble getting into the game... the thing that is hard for me to overlook is the fact that all the zones (that I have seen so far) seem to be INSTANCED (as in you have to go through a portal to go to the next zone). This bugs the crap out of me.

Why does it bug you?... the 15 seconds of loading time? You are usually on a map for pretty much at least 5 hours before you need to go to the next one anyway, i dont see a problem with it since it probably helps reduce lag

To me it just makes the world feel less open. In WoW, you can walk, run, and fly across the borders between zones, lending to the feel of a nice open world. With SWTOR they still had load screens, but that felt less constricting as each "zone" was really a planet, so it made sense that you had to get on your ship and fly to the next one.

I dunno, it might end up being something I can get over eventually, the combat in Guild Wars IS a lot of fun so far. And I love how equipping a different weapon gives you an entirely new set of abilities, that was a nice touch.

Yeah the different abilities is great. I also like the fact that the whole world of players works together and you are able to get exp for collaborating on different events, without needing to be in a party

First glance at the GW2 forums, and I'm seeing people are complaining about the WvWvW systems.
About there being Alliances, and stuff being taken at night when people are asleep

Edit: I'm on DragonBrand and Gigachip.9473
