You will always have post whores. Most forums I visit disable post count for off topic and things like that and people still post a lot in those areas.

I'm not saying a higher post count means you're cooler but it means you're somewhat active at least which is nice to know. I joined 2 years ago but just recently started posting a lot now when I got my Camaro so you can't really go by join date.

I am NOT a developer... but I am a PM and my software guys have tried to teach me a little.

OH so I'd need a different variable for the while condition.

Do while (TrackPostCount = true)

Would that work?

Eh close enough haha... you'll want

Do while(trackPostCount == true)

Though because you are not setting it as a new value, you are comparing.

I would just say postCount = integer.MAX_VALUE

Lol that will give you the largest value your data set can handle.

Why do it in 4 lines of code when you can do it in one. LMAO you sound like my developer.

I guess I should answer this..

since I'm whoring up the place.

Post count doesn't matter other than the combined posts of everyone on the site does help the site from a web rankings perspective. the more posts, the more hits, the more views, the more traffic, the more relevance and so on.

Bottom line, who cares. If people are bothered by someone with a high post count then they are not here for the right reasons. Camaro5 is a community. As such there is a social aspect that we embrace. Forums that have only on topic posts are pretty boring.

If you are someone who is here to just have a high post count, you are also not here for the right reasons.

Post count is a by-product of your activity on the site. It has nothing to do with popularity, or knowledge, or anything. it just shows how much time you spend here.
