Russell Wilson & all the other rookie QB's

This could be an interesting year. I wonder how many of the 5 rookies will do well.

Of course, I'm hoping Wilson does well. It's preseason, and when defenses have time to prep for him, things could be different. We'll see.

Makes me wish I had seen the games in person. He reminds me of a Michael Vick lite.

Now I don't want to be a hater because I really like Russell Wilson, but I want to see him play a "real" nfl game!

I think his time spent playing pro baseball (minor league for 2 years) has given him the maturity that other rookies lack. He'll be fine...

There's a lite Michael Vick? I thought Michael Vick was the lite version of Michael Vick. I wouldn't want to be compared to Vick at all if I was a rookie QB, much less a lite version. In the 8(?) or so years he's been in the league he has only completed one season, that's about as lite as it gets.

His arm doesn't seem as strong. He exerts a lot more effort getting the ball down the field. He's not as fast. He knows when to slide which he has over Vick but both take hots.

Last night, the NFL network was analyzing all the rookie QBs, and they said Russell Wilson will have the best season... for a kid that went 75th overall in the draft, that's pretty good!!

At first I was like "Brandon Weeden?", a swift googling put me right.

That's nuts, two rooks that are former baseball players.

I'm just going to dredge this one up. I know I've posted a bunch of stuff about him in other threads, but I'm a huge Russelmaniac.

Love or hate the Seahawks...I think people will come to really like this kid when they get to know him. It's rare we get big stars here in Seattle, so I guess when we do get them, we pound our chests a little bit.

Wilson should be near the top, if not the winner for ROTY. He was great for most of the season. I'm still not sure that I wouldn't vote for RG3 though. I think that he still had the better overall season. I wouldn't have a problem if Wilson won it though.

I do not think that Luck should win though.
