Good evening all I am having a seriously bad run of vehicle luck the last few weeks. You all know about the Camaro accident my wife was in. We just got it back on Sat and today my truck was hit.

I got home from work about 6:45 and parked in the street so as not to block the Camaro in the garage in case I wanted to use it tonight. I opened my door and got out and opened my back door to get my laptop from the back. I got it and as I closed the back door I saw a car coming down the street a few houses away. Next thing I know he is on top of me I slammed myself inside my still open drivers door just as he hit the door. My neighbor was in his driveway and he heard the crash and later told me he missed me by about a foot.

The door is shot and likely the front fender as well. I cant close the door so its not driveable. I was able to get it closed enough to fit in the the garage until I can get it towed to the collision shop. The kid who it me was very young I am guessing 16-18 tops. At first I yelled kind of angry what did you not see me but then I realized he was pretty scared so I calmed down quickly and asked if he was ok and its just an accident and the insurance can take care of it. I think I was just upset because he came so close to causing me serious injury. Thankfully we were both ok and I am happy right now that I am able to be here typing this instead of being in an ER.

Thanks I am almost scared to drive the Camaro to BBOMG this weekend with the luck we are having but I am going anyway. On the bright side I now have a good collision shop I trust. Maybe I can get a frequent customer discount?

Sorry about this happening but really glad no one was hurt. Surely this was the last of the string of bad automotive luck. We will just say it is.
