I hope everyone has a safe and happy Independence Day, I'm heading out to a car show. Fireworks have been outlawed here in Spokane county for a long time. Most years we are in mid-90s and dry as a popcorn fart so it's about fire danger. This year I think you would have a hard time setting a fire on purpose with gas it's been so wet.

I'm guessing you're all asleep about now. Been busy getting ready for C5 company on the Fourth, and the big Camaro Show on Sunday. Got the yard cleaned up, wet as it is. Got the air box for my CAI mostly fabricated and fitted. Still have to make the
lid, and the mounting plate for the MAF sensor. Got the new plastic addition for the engine cover molded. Still have to trim, paint, and fit it onto the cover. Haven't started the acrylic car show sign yet, hopefully it won't take long. Got the anodizing dye and chemicals I ordered; but there's no way I'm going to have time to try anodizing my aluminum parts. And to cap things off, I had to shut down the lab and transform it back into a bar!

Oh, and Merry Christmas Twisty. Chubby Checker has nothing on you!

You've got plastic molding equip? Awesome. Can't qait to peek under the hood of a certain Synergy Green Camaro. Post pics PLEASE.

Long story but thought was going to be on an airplane headed to CA this morning to drive our car home. Transport Co that was hired stranded us at the last minute and said they couldn't ship it."We have issues" WT...However the broker came through and found another yesterday that had room on the trailer. They called and all set up to be picked up by noon PST. Wont rest until get the call it is on the way.Then it will be time to kick back and relax.Ahhh No wait wife don't get off work today until 4 :( so left to entertain the mass of her relatives that checked out of Hotel Mickey and checked into Hotel Mikey.

Fireworks outlawed in certain areas here this year. So far we've had fires this year started by: Fireworks. Gunfire (target practice - bullet hits rock causes spark, causing fire in totally dead dry grass). Dum dum parked hot car on tall totally dry grass (four homes destroyed by that fire). Lightning. Campfires. Four wheelers spark from exhaust as ATV goes past dry grass. This place is like a tinderbox this year. I'm gonna do a little yard work before it gets too hot and then I think we might take in a movie. Everyone have a safe and enjoyable 4th!! .

I hope everyone had an enjoyable & safe 4th. Some folks here had some roof & tree damage from a thunderstorm but we did not even get a drop of rain. I'm home & stuffed after a great meal. I spent a couple of hours swimming/floating in the pool before we ate & I have actual bikini tan lines for the first time since I was a teen. I had a great day....... Until I got home about half an hour ago.

First, the good parts... The weather was picture perfect for a car show! No trophies (they didn't specify CLASSIC cars, but that's all that was awarded...), but still had a great time! After the show, headed to Maggie and Gary's, where we had great food and even better company Maggie got her wish of a driveway FULL of Camaros, I'm sure she'll post a pic...
Then, I get home, and my dogs are TOTALLY FREAKED OUT. My Shepherd ran into the garage and tried to hide under the truck... The Rottie was curled up shaking in the corner of the doghouse. All because my neighbors decided to light fireworks in their back yard, RIGHT NEXT to our dog kennel!!!!!
The dogs are now in the house (which they hate during the summer because it's too hot for them) and loaded up on Benadryl, so they're starting to calm down.... My neighbors know where the kennel is - their Pitbull helped my Shepherd put a hole in the fence so they could see each other - why they chose the spot next to it to do their fireworks is beyond me.

Had a great Fourth of July today! Got to host a few of our C5 friends for an after show BBQ. Maggie finally got her wish of having a driveway full of Camaros.
It was a beautiful sight! As mentioned by LBM; here's some pics:



A bug collection: Ladybug, Bumblebee, Junebug, and Dragonfly (foreground) The El Camino belongs to a friend of my son. He said he was sorry he parked a non-Camaro in the drive. I said it's got rally stripes, and it's a Chevy; it's fine. The Chrysler vert is the only non-Chevy vehicle I've ever owned. It's supposed to go to my son. Junebug is the latest addition to Glen & Janet's family. (You'll remember them from WCOFF with Bumblebee.) And of course you all know Ladybug...!


It was hard to get all the cars into one shot. I almost got it from the roof. The rusty roof in the foreground is my '54. The Transformer in the foreground is our latest new friend JEEPFREAKSCOTTY. The BP truck in the background is ours too. Not seen is our friends Malibu behind the truck. With the exception of the Sebring, our drive looked like a Chevrolet dealership!


Heading home. Everybody has to work tomorrow. ('Cept us 'cause we took vacation days for the rest of the week.)




On behalf of Maggie and myself. I want to thank everybody for coming. We had a great time and hope you'll all come back soon. You have to... there are a lot of adult beverages left, and they're in the fridge waiting for you!

Good morning!! Hope you had a great 4th! My dogs were much happier in the house last night, until about 4am, when they decided it was too hot and woke me up to let them out. The moon was really pretty then, even through my half-open eyes!!

As I predicted, Summer has finally arrived in Seattle... Woohoo!!!!

Happy for you I don't know if I could take waiting this long for nice weather however. WNY has tough winters but we usually do get 2.5 to 3 months of nice summer weather. Its probably what makes life bearable for me I hate cool wet days.

Wow sorry about your poor puppies Jeanette but glad they are OK now.Enjoy summer.

Went to the one of the Resorts last nt to have dinner with family and watch Fireworks from the Beach. Ended up being a nice evening after some severe afternoon storms Glad it didn't get rained out but about relatived out here.
