I can't remember much of what I read - what does that say about the book and/or me?

I was disappointed b/c I was told 100 times over it was SO HOT and I'm like, meh.
Maybe I haven't gotten to the good part yet...but the writing is not keeping my interest enough for me to pick it back up at the moment.
