If i had a family of 3 or 4 Malibu and Impala would be a couple of my top choices alont with the Optima and Fusion man it looks sexy for a family car but its still a ford and im pretty much die hard chevy when it comes to newer ones.

I need to see a new Impala in person before I decide if I like it or not. But I do know one thing, the new Impala is leaps and bounds better than the current model.

What id like to know is this. Why does Chevy offer the Cruze and Malibu. Arent they very similar in size?
Ford has the Fiesta which is tiny, the Focus which is small, the Fusion is their midsize, and Taurus which is large. Chevy has Sonic which is tiny, Cruze which is somewhere between small and midsize, Malibu which is somewhere around Midsize, and Impala which is large. Its like Chevy has one too many cars????

I read an article that Honda quality has tapered off in recent years. The biggest problem for the Malibu is the Fusion. The new Fusion is a copy of the Aston Martin front end. I guess they once owned part of the company which is how they get away with it.
I'm down to buying this or a LaCrosse as my next vehicle. I have a feeling the wife is going to like the LaCrosse, but I can't seem to justify all the extra cost. I love the Regal, however I'm not going to own two GM cars that are made in Canada.

So essentially you are agreeing with the size comment? Though the cruze is 10 inches shorter its wheel base is very close, and front driver and passenger space is damn near a toss up with the Cruz actually surpassing the malibu in some areas. Let's not mention that the malibu looks almost identical to the Cruz in every way. Sure there are minor differences in tail lights, but its almost the same car. |

Identical? ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() They both have four doors and four tires, apparently that makes them identical. ![]() Have you seen either one in person? They look nothing alike.

Fusion is nice but the more I look at it, the more it looks like a copy of an Aston Martin. I don't want to drive a ripped-off Aston Martin. I will give you the Optima though. Kia is getting it right in the way Camry and Accord are not. |

I guess you could say that I'm in the same group as those that like the new Malibu, and think its a great car, but I'm not sure if its "enough" so to speak.
I think the new Fusion is going to kick some major butt.

So do I. As a matter of fact im seriously considering it for our next car purchase. I wish they were a little cheaper but ive got a few years before im buying anyway. Equinox will be paid off in 2014 so I may be buying in 2015 if the Kia can last me that long. Right now my favorite choices are these cars: - 2015 Ford Fusion $28,000 for a decent trim level (if i have the money) - 2015 Subaru Outback $25,000 (if i need more room and dont have as much money) - 2015 Kia Optima $20,000 (if I dont have much money at all) we'll see how I feel once we get closer to 2015, LOL.
