Basically the neighbors complained about speeders (everyone speeds on the back roads) so there is a cop presence now and they are writing tickets.

Anyways, there were two cops checking for seat belts this morning (didn't know it at first) at a busy intersection among the back roads. I thought they were taking donations or something so I got my wallet out and had a dollar ready. I roll my window down, say hi and ask how he's doing (with dollar ready in hand), he responds good, thanks for wearing your seat belt, and to drive safely. I then rolled my window back up and put my dollar back. I also noticed the ticket clipboard once I started talking to him. I thought they were taking donations since they each had a cup in hand and were talking to people.

Felt stupid.

Btw... What kind of neighbors do you have that complain about traffic? Or was the speeding really insane?

I hope it was that, lol.

I live in an area where there a bunch of snobby, nosey people. Speed limit on this back road is 45 mph. Most people do up to 60 mph since it is a two lane back road. I usually do 50 - 55 mph on it, but not anymore. Also, there is major construction near us for a highway so there are A LOT of dump trucks who also speed. So people used the death of a teenager to complain when speeding wasn't involved.

People complained more so because a girl was killed and the parents out here don't believe their kids make mistakes ever so they tried blaming the truck driver who the police said was not speeding and that the girl was on her phone (imagine that!). They still don't believe it. I hate my part of town. The parents are stupid and ignorant. The kids are even worse and always want to race me in their trucks and POS imports.

I want a used SS, but only if it's payments are close to mine. Otherwise I'll just wait for a 2013/2014 SS.

I've owned my car a whole year at the end of this month. So I'd say I'm upside down still. I financed for either 60 months or 72 months last year. I bought it new.

My salesman says he is looking for a decent used SS that isn't too far away. I told him if not it's no big deal. I can wait till next year since I graduate in December with my Bachelor's in MIS.

Shot. Every last one.... That's what needs to happen. People need to take responsibility for their actions and teach their kids some god damn discipline....
