I gotta message: Can infractions be taken off my profile? I've been on my best behavior for a while.

That's a relief! I'd hate for folks to know what a bad boy I've been. LoL

I like to make it pretty clear why I do things as a moderator. Keep in mind why we exist: to keep Camaro5 the place we know. We aren't here to make things harder for you. We try to make them easier!
We want you to be able to find things by browsing the site, so we move threads to the right place. We aren't hiding anything. We're making topics easier to find. Sometimes, we do find it necessary to delete threads. When you have a whole bunch of threads talking about everything but the Camaro on the world's best Camaro site, what does that say? We have an obligation to all of our members to provide the best possible experience, and that means that we are going to try to keep Camaro-related content visible and complaints about the site minimal. Camaro5 is the best community on the Internet because we work to make sure our members can find what they're seeking without having to go through page after page of garbage to get there. Instead of spending time trying to do research on the best parts, you're spending time showing off those parts in picture threads and discussions. When we see too many threads complaining about the same thing, we have to merge them. If we see too many topics about other cars, we make sure those topics go where they belong. When we see a whole bunch of trolls who aren't here to participate in Camaro5 in a positive way, we get rid of them. It is our duty to you, the members of this site, to make this place a welcoming home to all things Camaro. Camaro5 is truly the best spot on the Internet. We have the best people and the best cars. While there might be a few imperfections here and there, we'll keep working to make sure Camaro5 is still the place to be.

No I do not believe it creates anger in the community. Confusion? Maybe, but no more so than the "does this void my warranty" threads

I am not on the site like I used to be....so I don't get around to as many threads as the other guys.
But, for me, I usually add a reason as to why a thread is closed. If not, then it's pretty obvious why if people would read the thread. We aren't trying to make anyone's lives difficult. There's just a never ending pile of work to be done. Sometimes, we just move through as fast as we can to get stuff done. Believe me, I haven't READ the site in MONTHS. At least, it feels that way. :( The only stuff I get to read is my buds build threads (and I subscribe to a lot of them), my threads, and the mods section to try to keep up with all the inside stuff and Fest stuff we are trying to put together. It's a LOT...believe me. Sure...I'll try to explain more if it happens that I close a thread. Not a problem at all. Just want it to be a friendly site...easy to find stuff. Obviously there's a LOT of people who couldn't care about that, though. ..guess that's the flip side of the coin that Chris was talking bout Quote:
![]() But dude! It was reversed! ![]() See....we can be reasonable, though. ![]() and sorry for posting after thsi was closed. Don't know who closed it, but....we all got the message and will do our best to help out, OP. ![]() |
