So sorry to hear about your friend. It has to have been a horrible year for him, his friends and his family. May he now rest in peace.

I'm so very sorry about your friend Mike. But atleast now, the suffering is over for him, and all the pain is gone. He can finally sleep good up in heaven. I don't know if you remember, but a year or two ago, we were watching the Indy 500 (I think?) and we then decided to dedicate that race to your father. I think a race now needs to be dedicated to Mike. R.I.P. Mike. My prayers are with you, his family, and everyone he has touched throughout his lifetime.

I just finished re-reading this thread from start to finish...

I wanted to sincerely thank everyone, once again, for all the love and prayers given to me, and to Mike, during this long, horrible illness that Mike battled, and ultimately, lost...

It is a journal, a chronological account of the past year of Mike's life, and all the trials he went through during that time...

It is also an outpouring of support for a man who none of you had ever met, but who has, in a way, touched all of you forever...

Thank you so much for caring...it means a lot to me, and I know it meant the world to Mike...

Hard to believe, but it was one year ago today that I lost the greatest friend I have had in my lifetime...

I still miss him every single day and I feel his loss deeply...

I have wanted to call him so many times this past year to tell him yet another Camaro story and how much this car has changed my life more than I could ever have imagined when I ordered it so long ago, on 1.2.09...

I just celebrated 3 years of blissfully happy Camaro ownership on 5.19.09...they were the fastest 3 yrs of my life, I think...

If not for re-connecting with my old Bosch buddy, I don't know if I would have a Camaro in my garage today...

It was because of him that I have 'met' all of you!!!...maybe that was his purpose in returning to my life, albeit for a very short time...maybe we were reunited by the Camaro delivery, but I now have a ton of new friends because of it...

Some of you I only know online, but plenty more I had the great opportunity to finally meet in person last June 2011 at BBOMG3 in Oshawa Canada...

I came home from that weekend on top of the world after spending one of the best weekends of my life with my Camaro buddies, only to find out that night that my dear friend had passed away...

Mike, I hope you know how happy I was to get one last chance to see you again...I know you knew how happy my HWAY STR has made me, and I hope you are riding along once in awhile with me...

RIP my dearest friend...I will never ever forget you, and thank God for your friendship...hope you are rocking those drums in heaven now!!!

You bet I will say a prayer for Mike as well as you. Just remember the Lord will never give you more that you can handle. God Bless both of you, and all the people on C5 helping out.
