Hotrodsally That car is looking great! I love the side markers. I'd love to do those. You know I love the CAI. I did not get the scoop so I wonder how much difference it will make. I know you are going to love your lisence plates too. I want to get some that say RubyC5.

I have not had a good weekend. Mike & I went shopping on Friday. When we got home our son was gone. We knew it was coming but thought we had a couple more weeks. I guess he did not want any big goodbyes. He left a 3 page typed letter to me and a voice mail telling us where to go get the Cruize. He says he will not contact us & does not want us to contact him. He is now in basic training at Ft Sill. He is pretty mad at the world right now. Everyone tells us this is the best thing for him and that he will come around. But it still hurts. We have spent the remainder of the weekend processing our feelings some of the time & distracting ourselves the rest of the time. Today we went shoe shopping. That's right, he actually went with me to virtually every big shoe store in Nashville & a lot of small ones too. I bought a pair. They are not exactly the right color (not quite dark enough red) and not exactly what I had in mind, but they are as close as I could find. I got them because they usually only have one pair of my size (if any) in any style. I can always take them back if I find some I like better. So here are a few pics if the shoes & the white dress I want to have a photo shoot with my car wearing. (Maybe this will be the last of the shoe discussions? Maybe) I still have a little bit of weight to lose before I am ready for the photo shoot but I have already shaped up the arms & legs. Just a bit more work around my middle.

Good thing about the a/c repair people showing up. It's unseasonably hot. I know 2 other peole who had their a/c go out this past weekend.

I'm really looking forward to taking Sally out of a decent spin. At this time of year, especiaally since it's so hot so early, I don't know that the air scoop will buy me anything until it cools down significantly.

Reminds me of the 69 RS headlight doors! (Camaro fact of the day: The first generation hidden headlight doors had actuators that were so unreliable, that for the 1969 model year, Chevy redesigned the doors with three horizontal clear plastic bars. The theory being, that if the actuator failed to open the door, the headlight would still shine through the door enough for someone to get where they were going.) I like the green over the turn signals. Kind of like the heritage grille, but keeping the center "egg crate" grille. Looks to me like the best of both worlds! I like it!
