I had fun installing the CAI intake!!! Only drag was the 103 degree temp but its fun to do stuff like that!!! The mass air flow sensor is the original as for the pipe I'm not sure the size I would guess 3.5 inch...

Pro and Vince, Thanks for the compliments!

Gary, the other Pit Guru is Alex (Alcal1084 on here). I didn't pay attention to hose/tube size, everything just clamped on*; just continued to use the stock Mass Air flow Sensor.

As soon as we fired that engine up. VROOOOOOOOM. Once I put it in drive, the acceleration was more responsive, snakier than before.

Cool .

* - that's easy for her to say, Alex and Nic did all the work....

I was on my bank website and noticed that my check for my new license plates has been processed... When applying for the plates, I had to list my first 3 choices, and had no idea if I'd actually get my first choice (thought that maybe with my college logo on the plates, I might be limited to 6 digits instead of 7). So, I went to the dept of licensing site and checked. It shows my first choice as unavailable, so that means I'll be getting what I wanted!! I'll post pics when they actually show up... Ladybugs new plates will say "L4DYBUG"

ProStreet - congrats on your wins. Wow!

Linda, you are turning that beauty into a mean street machine. Love the look of your new CAI and your side marker lights.

LBM, hope your new plates show up soon. L4DYBUG is a great plate.

Dyno day left me with mixed feelings... I won't go into great detail here. You guys are all my friends, but I fear getting flamed by lurkers who are meanies in other parts of the forum.
Sorry. There are some real jerks out there. Did you get a ticket for going 158?
Congrats on getting your first choice of plate.

Congrats heRS and Prostreet

By the way, it's a balmy 53 degrees here!
Where are you climbing Mt Ranier? That sounds refreshing.

Diane have a fun safe drive out there on the Tour.

Thanks Sky Man. I had to ask one last time. I'm sure everyone will have at least one camera, maybe more.

How are things with you?

Whew, I had two pages of reading to do this afternoon to play catch up here. Just got back from a hike up Lake Tahoe way.
Anyway..........first of all, congrats to the trophy winners, good job!
And Linda, man oh live, your car looks killer! I'm really excited to see all those mods in person in just a few days! What a slave driver you must be, having those young lads melting away in that heat. Ha, yeah I hear ya, like most of us, doing stuff like that is FUN and not considered work, eh?
You probably already have done this, but if not, use the softest spray setting on your garden hose attachment and gently spray away the dust accumulation in your engine bay. Wipe her down and you're ready for show time!! Your CAI looks absolutely great.

Do you think you'll have them in time for WCOFF? More than likely not, I suspect. Oh, Jeanette? Don't worry about the possible disrespectful lurkers that might be looking in. They're not worth even thinking about. Besides, you have old guys like me on here lookin' out after you!!

Yeah would have really like to have hopped in. Supposed to be out of town for a few days looking for Booty Oops that didn't sound right looking for shipwrecks. A/C Company was out pretty quick in the morning and got the A/C fixed looks like it got pretty toasty out your way.Though we would be sending the tennants to a hotel for the night. All is good except for the wings.:(

Linda the new mods look great you are going to love the CAI. The hardest part will be keeping your foot off the gas to hear the fantastic new sound. Also congrats to the recent trophy winners.

Thanks for having my back, guys!!
Vince has been helping me figure out the dyno thing behind the scenes. Unfortunately, that doesn't fix jerks, and it was a jerk that made my dyno day not so fun... It would have been worse if I got a ticket for 158mph!

Supposedly, it takes 6-8 weeks to get the plates, so not likely to have them before WCOFF. Bummer.

Sally looks like she enjoyed all the attention! Barely made it in the door from work and Gary is telling me everything that was done today! Even the pitcrew! I'm so looking forward to seeing HRS, especially since she is a V6 with some awesome mods!
