If you want a .308 semi-auto, I recommend the FN-FAL. It's heavy, but a real attention getter. Check out DS Arms for the SA58 rifles.

+1 I have numerous and I mean numerous firearms and of all my semi-auto rifles the best round on the planet IMHO is the .308 so completely superior to the .223. Worth the extra weight. My DS Arms SA-58 is not a tactical version (solid buttsock and longer barrel) but man I can hammer nails with it, and YES it is an attention getter. ![]() I also want a SCAR chambered in .308. Maybe thats just my absolute distain for AR platforms unless they are piston driven. I have a couple ARs but not a fan my favorite .223 rifle is my good ol mini-14 |

Larue Tactical OBR 7.62(capable of 1 moa at 300 yards) or Predator 7.62(Lighter and cheaper but still a sub moa gun) even with a 16" barrel. Opinions should not be based of the AR10 platform. These new 7.62 KAC, LMT, Larue Tactical ect. are leaps and bounds ahead of its previous forms. FAL accuracy leaves much to be desired.(kind of a cult following) If I were deployed and could only choose one rifle it would be a 16" .308 period. And many many know why. |

LMFAO you get what you pay for, buy a quality FAL. I did and its just as accurate as my bull barrel free float AR, if not more so. |

I thought price was the selling feature of those guns. Now that Ive seen the prices for a quality new one ($1800!) I just ask WHY? ![]() I do own one. FN FAL worth hella money and one of my safe queens. Heavy as hell and a b1tch to mod. I would kick a puppy for a SCAR-H in .308 |

What do you guys think of the .50 Beowulf by Alexander Arms? The availability of the ammo is the main thing holding me back on that.
I'm gonna look at all of the .308's mentioned by you guys and that's why I posted I already have an AR15 I wouldn't mind if not prefer a different platform for my .308. |

Hey guys, I think I have decided on what type of gun I want to purchase next - it will most likely be a .308 bolt gun. With that said I'm looking for some good recommendations. I would like something affordable but really good. No $3000 rifles please.

Remington Sendero SF 2. Comes built like a custom gun. Value wise great choice. Check out Sako .308s too. They have rifles that shoot from the factory like a custom built rifle(sub moa guarenteed).

I ordered a new pistol for the collection. Sig Sauer 1911R-45-tacops. Can't go get it for a few days. Pumped up.
